Giuliani Filing Doesn't Say "Republican," Campaign Says Its No Mistake

New York, NY (AHN) - Former Mayor of New York Rudy Giuliani may have ran the Big Apple as a Republican, but in his official papers as part of his possible presidential run, the section for the candidate's political party was left blank.

When confronted about the omission by a newspaper, a lawyer for the campaign says it was the team's "judgment that we didn't have to fill in that box," leading some to speculate that Giuliani may be considering leaving the GOP and running as an Independent.

Giuliani spokeswoman Katie Levinson dismisses such rumors, saying, "The mayor continues to be a proud member of the Republican Party, and we are extremely encouraged by the response from Republicans across the country to his potential run for president."

Also, upon further questioning by newspaper Newsday, the campaign says it fixed the omission, and has listed the former Mayor as a Republican.

However, according to the paper, that form couldn't be found on the Federal Election Commission Web site.

My husband just said the same thing.

Giuliani is a Trojan Horse.

Everyone Giuliani campaigned for lost. He didn't lift a finger to help unseat Mrs. Clinton. He was perfectly happy to have her as his Senator.

I don't see "republican" in that filing. Why is there no "republican" in that filing?

In order for the GOP to win in 2008, they need...a split of the Democrat vote.

I agree completely, but it is not going to happen. For a reason I can't state on account of the 11th commandment.

What is most important to Republicans, to maintain the reins of government and get some of our programs passed, or to lose the election and get none of our programs passed?

MORE GOVERNMENT PROGRAMS IS NOT WHAT WE NEED...

I can tell you that...

...the Rudybots are going to vote for the Democratic candidate. They want a liberal in the White House, and then don't want to lose.

I meant for this to be a question. Let me try again.

It sure appears that way to me too. Rudybots seem to be strongly opposed to the conservative candidates.

"AARRGHHHHHHHH TWO YEARS OF THIS...."

Culture of celebrity driving the 2008 race even before the 2006 election.

Constitutionalists will disagree, and they are right, but I wish we could shut up politicians until one year before the race...

Or at least move the primaries to June-August.

Fair enough?

No, I'm realy saying that Giuliani will either split the Republican vote, or split the Democratic vote.

No he was not... Mrs. Clinton was just reelected and Giuliani didn't lift a pinkie to help get rid of her.

Giuliani is in this to help Clinton.

Rudy can't even make it as a RINO, but the left-leaning "FReepers" love him.

"He could not use the word 'kill' or 'destroy'."

Like President Bush could kill or destroy something... anything?

He can talk about it. But I'm not seeing enough dead people to suit my taste.

I dunno...

Fill in the blank. It's very depressing.

I realize that I'm being harsh on the President. But, at some point he has to be held to account.

And it's starting to look like the Iraq piece of the WOT is coming up a little shy of what we had all hoped for.

It may still turn around, but if it doesn't...well, let me be the first to throw Dubya to the wolves.

Ineffectual Conservative Republican leadership is somehow to be preferred over ineffectual RINO leadership?

You'll have to explain that to me.

I championed and defended the RINO Nixon back in 74 and I'm disinclined to make that mistake again.

To parody the old Christmas carol...

"George is beginning to look alot like Nixon..."

"He won't get my vote regardless...at least in the primaries.."

He won't get my vote in the primaries or the general election. Can't stand him or any other pro-abortionist RINOs.
