I think it would be dangerous for us to overlook Richardson. Lots of primary voters will "never" vote for Hillary. Lots of primary voters will never vote for an inexperienced black man. Richardson has the experience and speaks well. He is a white guy with Hispanic roots who has had a lot of face time on all of the news channels. He is one of the few governors in the race and seems the most normal of the DNC candidates. Some folks would like the Dems to have one of their most liberal folks win the nomination for contrast. I believe that someone like Richardson could force our nominee to campaign more to the right, again so they can show differentiation. That would make it a lot less likely for a McCain, Guilaini or Romney to win the GOP nomination.
The bottom line is one of the two major parties' nominees is going to win the Presidency. If the worst case happens and it's the Democrat, the more conservative he/she is - the better for the country.

Agreed. The candidates keep moving to the left. This is bad for the country regardless of who wins.

Richardson is running for VP. If he wasn't the Clintons could take him out in a nano second. Remember Monica and the UN for starters?

Or how about the Theft of Nuclear Secrets on Richardson's watch?
He is there to draw votes away from Edwards and get rewarded.
