Minn. Guard Members Rescue Iraq Torture Victims

Members of the Minnesota National Guard rescued three torture victims in Fallujah, Iraq late Monday night, one of them near death, according to officials there.

The house the victims were discovered in also contained shackles, syringes, knives, clubs and a blow torch, along with other torture instruments. The walls were said to be stained with blood.

"Our guys were expecting to find a torture house, but were a little shocked to find both the house and torture victims inside," said U.S. Army Captain Chip R. Rankin. "There's no doubt we saved those three individuals' lives by getting there when we did."

Two of the victims were able to exit the building on their own. The third was in considerably worse condition.

"One victim had been burnt, cut and his kneecaps shattered. He was slipping into shock when we found him," said Rankin. "They looked like they hadn't eaten or had any water in a long time."

Coalition forces searched the area to locate those responsible for the torture. They detained 21 suspects, seven of which were identified as known al Qaeda operatives.

Kennedy and Pelosi want us to "dialog" with their torturers because we can reason with such nice people. Talk about "delusional", Turban Durban...it's not VP Cheney who fits that description.

But remember, real torture is putting panties on an Arab's head.

I somehow doubt the "other torture instruments" included ladies' underwear.

We should bring Nancy Pelosi over there, drop her off by herself in one of these neighborhoods and let her "dialog" with the locals. If she survives, she may have a change of opinion.

But then again, she is a Democrat. I'm sure she would find some "good reason" and justification why they tortured her.

Meanwhile, the left, in their rejection off sound principles and grasping of feel-good straws and nonsense, think that victory in Iraq and the GWOT can be secured by "political efforts", code for negotiating with the Islamists and their state enablers, Iran and Syria.

Of course, these negotiations are less important than security universal healthcare for all Americans and security stopping the genocide in Darfur.

Hey dims - let's "dialog" with these people.

We'll just ask, "Why can't we just all get along?" Go speak with these people and find the answer to your own question - "Why do they hate so much?"

From a different news source.....

"In that home, they found a mortar targeting system, sniper rifle, and a vehicle rigged with an improvised explosive device.

Soldiers involved are from the same battalion that has lost five members since June."

Positive news. So positive, in fact, that tha Star Tribune ISN'T running this story.....

Take pics and give the news to the folks in Minnesota. Many don't want to see the reality of war.

Agreed, except a trial by military tribunal is required first, if I remember correctly. Empanel the three top ranking troops, with the victims as witnesses, get the trial over in thirty minutes or so, then execute them by firing squad. Videotape the whole thing for release to show that it was not just an arbitrary execution of "suspects".

They might have intel. Squeeze them dry and let the Iraqis shoot them later.

Speak of the devil herself. Look at the headline on Drudge:

"Pelosi in Iraq to see for herself how war is going"
