It's only a small room in JimRob's house where we can get to know one another a little better; salute and support our military and our leaders; pray for those in need; and congratulate those deserving. We strive to keep our threads entertaining, fun, and pleasing to look at, and often have guest writers contribute an essay, or a profile of another FReeper.

Lord, We thank You for those who are serving in our armed forces. Each day they are making brave sacrifices so that our country can remain strong and free. Keep them safe under the shelter of Your wings. And Lord, for their families back home——whose loving support enables our armed forces, to do all that they are called on to do——we ask that You comfort them and give them Your peace...the peace that passes all understanding. Amen

Capers





It took me all Morning to find just the right spot!
After exploring and playing all day without getting caught
Carefully keeping to the shadows and away from My Pretty One

Creeping under The Big Long Chair and having too much fun
Pawing the long misty Curtains that don't block out the Sun
Timing my Mischief like a Sprinter preparing for a run

For there are so many things to smell, touch, taste and bat around
Aided by the noises from the Kitchen that ominously abound
Watching for My Pretty One's feet as I dash off without a sound

For if she is busy elsewhere, who knows what new discoveries will be found?
Gliding from Room to Room on my exploratory quest
Climbing things in My Pretty One's Room without her knowledge or behest

I feel my Energy begin to spurt and falter while finding future nests
Curiosity tales a back seat to my sudden urge to rest
As I stretch out innocently on the spot I like the best!

Awww...thanks so much. I just reread my post, and it comes across as kind of hostile. I'm sorry, it wasn't my intention. It has just been one of THOSE DAYS, if you know what I mean.

My Fenway boy looking his usual guilty self. We rescued this poor dog from an abusive home, and to this day, three years later, he still acts like he always is doing something wrong. If you even raise your voice around him, he shakes.
