I don't understand how anyone, born in America, with a college education - would want to convert to Islam. What does it offer? The only thing I get out of it is hate & destruction, if someone can enlighten me to anything else, I'd like to hear it.
I'm thinking... I'm thinking... sorry, I can't seem to be able to come up with anything.
The short answer is, IMHO, some people simply look for things to make issue of and start a fight over....
Given Arab Muslims' identification with the slave trade (which still continues!), I can't figure out why any thinking Black individual would convert...

I think it might be linked to the, "Black Power" thing you here so much of these days.
These crazy converts think they will rule America!!!
Let me see, two blacks in the senate converted to islam a trend naaaaaaa couldn't be so.

It's a RACIST ANTI-WHITE thing masquerading under the color of religion.
Is this guy a mideast style muslim or a U.S. style black muslim like all the ones in U.S. jails? Is Musselman's apple sauce a muslim company? Maybe Musselman's has a muslim connotation like P&G has that satanic connotation?
Not that many years ago some of the same guys that brought you Kwanzaa were revising history to include blacks as the original Egyptians, builders of the pyramid. And even though Islam came much later, these same revisionist historians also forgot to mention the role of Arabs in the enslavement of African blacks for slaving. Thus, for a while, and maybe still if you aren't properly read, one would think there is a natural affinity between Arabs and blacks.
Just ask Somalia and Ethiopia./s
