These gun buybacks serve no useful purpose. The thugs and robbers aren't going to turn THEIRS in and the law abiding folks SHOULDN'T turn theirs in.
My position on guns is quite simple.Use a gun in a crime,go to prison.Law abiding citizens should have no restrctions on possesion in their house or on their person.

The program received a $200,000 donation from the Chamber of Commerce. So far, the program has given out $2,300 and made 31 arrests, but there are still tens of thousands of dollars left to be handed out.

So, you start out with 200K, give out 10% of it and only have "tens of thousands of dollars" left.

This program has way too much overhead/waste.

The Rev. Mark Griffin has been busy petitioning for money for the program that in the past has lined up hundreds of people with guns in hand, trading in their weapons for $50.

How to bankrupt a buiyback program. You'll also need a hacksaw.
