Starting in the New Year there is a new way you can show your support for Hoosier troops.
New Support Our Troops license plates will be available in Indiana.
The Governor unveiled the plate Thursday saying it is just a small way to say thanks to the troops.
The plate features a portion of a waving U.S. flag, a yellow ribbon and the words Support Our Troops at the bottom.
The plates will cost an extra $35.
A portion of the sales proceeds will go to a fund to help the families of deployed Indiana National Guard members and reservists.

What a small sacrifice to help out our troops.

Do you know what 'portion' will go to help the troops?
I'd rather donate where 100% will go to the vets and their families.

The anti-war left of the 60's has to be utterly horrified at the support troops get today. Jane Fonda, John Kerry, et. al. really thought that soldiering would be a despised profession by the dawn of the 21st century, and that America would have statues of anti-war protesters on every town square in America. Instead, they are forced to say "we support the troops, but not the war" like they've been tortured with a cattle prod for 10 hours.
I hope we can get this kind of license tag here in Mississippi.

Nevada has something similar: http://www.dmvnv.com/images/uws.jpg
You can also get plates for individual service branches as well as Purple Heart plates and Veteran plates, including Pearl Harbor. I suspect it won't be long before we have "Support Our Troops" as well.

If Arizona had the same I'd gladly pay the additional $15 to put them all 3 vehicles.

Plate looks good. Too bad the Muskrat and the Looney Left people like Jen Wagner of TDW would turn this into something they would try to use against Gov. Mitch. "Look! They are selling license plates the support an illegal war!"
Damned 'Rats.

For 2007, Indiana also offers, for no extra charge, a plate with the motto "In God We Trust". That ought to drive the ACLU over the edge.
To: hoosierboy
That's very awesome! (But they look like Texas plates - pretty boring. I say this having come here from Florida where they are colorful and many.)
