That happened to me last month...let's see, what did I do?
I think I checked out system devices in the administrative tools folder, found the audio device item (with yellow exclamation point) and clicked it open - then went looking for the proper device drivers when prompted.

This stuff gets irritating. Thankfully the manufacture has some pretty good support. not bad for a 350 buck PC from wallyworld!
