Berger And Lies
Investor's Business Daily ^ | 12/21/2006 | E&P

Posted on 12/21/2006 5:52:14 PM PST by Laverne

Equal Justice: Sandy Berger deliberately pilfered and hid classified documents. So why is Scooter Libby the one facing prison time? And why aren't these docs on the front page of the New York Times? National Archives Inspector General Paul Brachfield on Wednesday released a report showing that in 2004 Berger, President Clinton's national security adviser, "knowingly removed classified documents from the National Archives and Records Administration and stored and retained such documents at places," including temporarily under a construction trailer outside the main National Archives building. This seems to blatantly contradict the feeble mea culpa Berger issued when in the summer of 2004 he was caught removing said documents and stuffing them into his clothing, documents that directly contradicted his testimony before the 9/11 Commission.

Sixty years ago, Sandy Berger would have been executed for treason. My how times have changed! (... and not for the better.)

Because the ends justify the means to communists. If we all could just be patient and see what the New World Socialist Order is like, we'll understand.

Where do you think you or I would be spending Christmas Laverne if you or I had done what Sandy Berger did?

Clarice Feldman has a good piece on this up at American Spectator (here: http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2006/12/dojs_democrat_line.html and makes a very good conclusion:

"A particularly telling detail was the bit in the news reports of Berger's treatment to the effect that DOJ sources insisted that "no original information" had been lost. That, of course, is simply the negative way of saying: All annotations to the original documents have been lost; we will never know for sure what the reactions of responsible members of the Clinton administration were to the contents of these highly important national security documents. Of course DOJ has always known this, as well as the significance of Berger's conduct So, what interest did the prosecutors have in minimizing the seriousness of Berger's crime--for crime it was, whatever the plea deal ultimately was? Or am I forgetting that the DOJ officials--the same ones who oversaw the start of Plamegate--have close ties to certain Democratic senators?"

Dems can lie and get away with it, 'Pubbies on the other hand cannot....that's the accepted and practiced doublestandard of the enemedia.

And to think, Sandy Burgler was a consultant to the ISG. It is high time for a full investigation into the DOJ and certain individuals over there (whoever they might be). It is also time for the DOJ to pull the plug on Fitzy and file a petition to the court to dismiss the case against Libby and start interrogating Fitzy and his connection to Senator Rockefeller.

And to think, MSNBCCBSCNNABCNBC are hardly even covering this outrageous information about the Burgler. It disgusts me beyond words. When will there be a fair press in this country? I'm sick and tired of the DNC running these media outlets.

The difference is the fact that we hold the feet of the GOP to the fire. The democrats have a lot of people without a sense of right or wrong supporting them.

I noticed that Bill O'Reilly didn't touch it tonight either.

It was really a convenient time for the story to be released. Right before the holidays when all the big name reporters, radio hosts, and congress are on vacation.

The fact that I can't even get a liberal to comment on it tells me that they're terrified of the story. It's small consolation but I sure enjoy rubbing their noses in it.

That coupled with Wilson not planning to take the witness stand in the Plame case(because he lied). All this tells us is the dems lied and lives have been lost in their bent to claim power with the aiding and abetting enemedia by their side.

Yes, some did, especially F&F this morning. Newsbusters has an article up about how the maimstream media ignored this story. I haven't seen any reports about what the evening news did not report on this (as I expect they didn't bother to mention it). Slightly off topic, I did see a preview of FNS for Sunday and Chris Wallace has Lynn Cheney on. She calls the whole Libby situation with Fitzy "bizzare", and she is right.

Does anyone see the irony here? When Nixon operatives snuck into private quarters to steal documents a Presidency was brought down, but when a Clinton operative steals documents from a secure government facility a slap on the hand is invoked.
