Now they feel free to do so because as far as they are concerned anything goes as long as it advances the democrat power grab. I believe things will only get worse in the 2008 cycle.

The country-club GOP leadership still can't figure out why they lost in 06. So, how are they going to figure out how to win in 08?

I would say that it is ALL factions of the Republicans, including the conservatives, who don't have a clue as to why they lost. The closest I have seen to nailing it was Tom Delay's comments.

We are up against a very smart, organized, campaign machine. The Rats got their act together while we were consumed with infighting. It will take a miracle to win in 2008.
