I think you all are being unfair. If this is a woman, she may be pictured in her worst light. After all, in every 1 of these pix she's "straining". Not at all relaxed looking.
And BTW, never mind all the ugly men I've seen who're never called on it. But of course MEN being ugly isn't important.

Actually, the hijab is just the scarf--i.e., you can still see their faces. A burka is, for lack of a better word, a giant sheet worn like a loose, hooded dress, with either a slit for the eyes or an even more attractive screen that obscures the whole face.

A hijab IS a burqa.As I understand it, a hijab is NOT a burqa. The hijab is the religious headscarf (some/most) muslim women wear. The burqa is that hideous full-length covering we saw women wearing in Afghanistan before we went in.
