Yeah losing control of the US Senate was a tough one to take. But knowing Chaffee lost reelection was worth it.
Agreed, especially since only a complete moron could have missed that Chafee was poised to jump like Jeffords anyway, had he won. The GOP lost the Senate either way, so it's better it lost the clean way rather than the stabbed-in-the-back way.
