Release A061125a
Baghdad, Iraq -- Coalition Forces killed ten terrorists and conducted an air strike on an improvised explosive device factory during three simultaneous raids near al-Taji today.
While approaching the objectives, Coalition Forces encountered small arms fire and killed ten terrorists.
During the exchange of fire, one pregnant woman and one teenaged male were injured. She and the teenage male were immediately treated and subsequently evacuated to Coalition medical facilities for further treatment. The teenage male died shortly after arriving to the hospital. The woman was treated for minor injuries and is expected to be released tomorrow.
After the fighting, Coalition Forces conducted a thorough search of the target area and discovered significant caches consisting of rocket-propelled grenades, machine guns. anti-aircraft weapons, pipe bombs, and more than 3,000 feet of detonation cord. The caches were destroyed by coalition aircraft. No one was injured during the air strike.
Coalition Forces strive to mitigate risks to civilians while in pursuit of terrorists. It is always a shame when terrorists hide among civilian women and children, putting them in harms way. -30-

The NY Times will get right on this, I'm sure.
Something good to report amid a disastrous mess.
I wonder if anybody is keeping a running tally of how many AK's, RPG's, grenades, TNT, C-4, etc., that coalition troops have siezed? Did Saddam spend any money on anything besides weaponry?
Ahh.....good news first thing in the morning....
However, the press release reeks of the usual political correctness.
One wonders who's writing this stuff....tough military types or guilt-ridden, apologetic geeks in cammo sitting in some Baghdad office.
I gotta picture of news written like this emanating from the battle-hardened, front-line press guys in the ETO during WW2.
Makes me want to barf.

Here come the lawsuits!
Isn't that a contradiction in terms?
Why aren't all soldiers and Marines ordered to stop by the mess tent on the way to the line of departure? They could each be issued two strips of Oscar Mayer bacon so upon dispatching a snake, the pig meat could be shoved in the pie hole of the enemy, thus denying them entrance to paradise. I doubt this message would lost on the illiterate, unwashed "martyrs." The leadership of AQ and the insurgency surely don't believe that bat guano, but the rank-and-file do; seeing their brethren treated thusly, it may dampen their enthusiasm for further engaging the good guys.
"The NY Times will get right on this, I'm sure."
The Slimes will report that ten more tragic deaths occured, "omit terrorist deaths" no end to the violence in sight.
Death toll now at...yada yada.
TEN TERRORISTS KILLED, BOMB-MAKING FACILITY DESTROYED
Gee that's too bad. I am deeply deeply saddened.
This statement has received the seal of approval from the American Sarcastic Society
I'm happy to see the @ssholes called exactly what they are "TERRORISTS" not the pc "militants" the MSM so fondly uses.
Good news bump!
Never fear. The MSM won't report it. Only stories that fit your "disastrous mess" theme will continue to pound the American public. Hope you enjoy the ensuing peace when defeatists get their way.
WOO HOO!
Not much. I remember reading that he had more tons of explosives than the entire US military. No shit. Of course we make much more efficient use of it.
