Oh, I don't know about that. History has shown us that whenever the population if Islam increases, they end up slaughtering themselves shortly after the period of slaughtering infidels.
This is because the treasure they steal during the slaughter of infidels is spent, the productive societies they invade slowly begin to fail as the dhimmi population converts (or dies) to Islam in order to avoid excessive taxation and oppressive treatment.
War breaks out among themselves, starvation and sickness kills them off in large numbers. Remnants of the societies they wiped out begin to re emerge and rebuild, starting once again on the path of progress.
Except this time, using our technological advances in science, medicine, and agriculture, we'll keep them alive.

The father should demand a largwe dowry that the guy couldn't possibly afford. That would put an end to that relationship, and saving their daughters from a life of beatings and misery as well.

oh this thread should be fun. I post this before reading but this is one of the more obvious yet seldom discussed issues. Another serious issue is polygamy - where the top 5% of men can marry the top 20% of women, leaving the bottom 15% of men without even an opportunity to marry. It results in some sexual abuses, a sense of hopelessness, envy, anger. Now I will go read what has been posted and see if it touches on these subjects.
