Yes, elitist/progressive Norman Lear used the lyrics of that song as a sneer against traditional values.

By the end of it's run, when the American public was beginning to see the damage caused by liberal idiocy, I believe more people were laughing WITH All in the Family's Archie Bunker, than AT him.
