Jihadi word search puzzles...
coming to a school near you?

Parents, you better check your children's homework and make sure they aren't doing assignments like this (via WRAL with a hat tip to reader Paul):

WRAL reports:

A Spanish teacher at Smithfield-Selma Senior High School resigned this week after handing out an assignment that some students and parents said teaches hate.

Khalid Chahhou, who was in his first year of teaching in Johnston County, gave students a worksheet in which they were to translate words and find them within a word-search puzzle.

Some students started uncovering strange words in the process.

"There were words like 'kill,' then I saw it said 'destroy America,'" Eric Herrera said.

As they read on, students found the puzzle contained a paragraph that contained the following phrases:

*"Sharon killed a lot of innocent people," a possible reference to former Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon.

*"Palestine is not a terrorist group."

*"Allah help destroy this body of evil making humanity miserable."

You'll love the teacher's defense:

Chahhou, who also teaches Arabic at a religious school affiliated with the Islamic Association of Cary, told WRAL in a telephone interview that students got the wrong message from the assignment.

"When I made the assignment, I was upset and angry about a story I recently saw on the news. If any message appears, it is more of a message to myself, not to my students.

How many other teachers are out there writing mental "Destroy America" messages to themselves while they educate America's children?

Every once in a blue moon I feel aroused to post something from Michelle Malkin.

We just had the Full Hunter's Moon back in Oct 26th, and the Full Beaver Moon isn't due until Nov. 24th, so I'm just not sure what's come over me.

Sounds like something from the DNC...

Well, he did say he was 'angry and upset' about a news story, and given that most news stories are covered with a liberal bias, it's not a great stretch to suppose it did come from the DNC - if even subliminally...

Then it shouldn't have been handed out as a homework assignment. It really toasts me when people do something like this and make really lousy excuses for it. It's such an insult because the liar thinks everyone else is stupid enough to buy it. Problem is, they're right about some.

One thing that's interesting in his 'excuse', is that it implies that he was unaware of any messages - shouldn't he be aware of the contents of an assignment he produced? Ya think?

And also, in my opinion, it really doesn't matter to whom the message is 'to', as he says it; the effect is the same.

And the moral to this story is - if you allow a muslim to teach your children, that muslim will teach them islam. I'm surprised she forgot to tell them that Jews are monkeys and pigs.

Following this story moral, let's see what our new Muslim congressman does with his office.

"...let's see what our new Muslim congressman does with his office."

LOL! If he follows the koran and hadith, he has no choice but to repeat that Jews are monkeys and pigs...I would love to see that. If he doesn't, he's an infidel and a hypocrite!

(just another pathetic powerhungry slimy politician, actually.)

"If he doesn't, he's an infidel and a hypocrite!"

Ah, yes - but let us not forget 'tagyyeh':

A Muslim is, first and foremost, an Ummehist—a citizen of international Islam. So, when a Muslim takes the Pledge of Allegiance, he is either ignorant of the implication of his pledge or is lying willfully. Ignorance is never a valid reason in the court of law, and lying in the process of becoming citizen is a ground for denying the application and even deporting the violator. Sadly enough, tagyyeh—lying, or dissimulation—is not only condoned, it is recommended to the Muslims in their scripture. Hence, a Muslim can and would lie without any compunctions, whenever it is expedient. (Democracy’s Problems with Islam)
But then, as you say, he's "just another pathetic powerhungry slimy politician" doing what politicians do - lie.

Got to have at least one element of truth to make the rest more believable.

And by the way, you've got good eyes and a very astute comprehension of Arabic to spot that...

Just curious, what comes first, the Full Beaver Moon or the Crack of Dawn?

The Full Beaver moon will be at 9:30 am, so I'd say the Crack of Dawn will come first (dawn will take place at 6:41 am where I live).

Answer your question?
