Israel's delighted leaders

Bush's interpretation of the Democrats' victory in last week's Congressional elections convinced him not to act against Iran. Starting with his press conference last Wednesday where he announced Secretary of Defense Donald Rumsfeld's replacement by Robert Gates, Bush has made absolutely clear that as far as he's concerned, he lacks the domestic political strength to carry out a successful operation.

In one of his recent daily calls for Israel's destruction, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad offered Europe a Faustian bargain. He promised to leave Europe alone if the Europeans abandon Israel. On Monday, British Prime Minister Tony Blair accepted his offer. In a speech at the London Lord Mayor's annual banquet, Blair explained that success in Iraq and in Iran is contingent on Israel making concessions to Palestinian and Lebanese terrorists and to the US and Europe making concessions to Syria and Iran. The fact that Blair made this speech four days after the director general of the MI5, Eliza Manningham-Buller, said that today 30 terror plots are being planned in Britain; that future threats could involve chemicals and nuclear devices; that young British Muslims are being groomed to become suicide bombers; and that her agents are tracking some 1,600 suspects, tells us just about everything we need to know about Europe's interests. The fact that he made a similar statement to the Iraq Study Group, which, led by former secretary of state James Baker III is planning on recommending that the US sell out Israel and appease the Iranians and Syrians, tells us everything we need to know about how Europe feels about the US hope to isolate - not attack - Iran.

Not going to happen. Blair is on the way out of office, Britain is not France, and even the French aren't going to accept the kind of blackmail behind those thousands of burning cars. We haven't even begun to see the European reaction to this. They know now what the Moslems intend to do to them, and their sophisticated libertine society doesn't want head cloths and burqas. They just didn't like the Cowboy Bush.

I don't know what evidence you have for your optimism. Every published account and analysis I have read adds up to one thing: Europe has surrendered. The Europe of Charles Martel and El Cid is dead. Welcome to Eurabia.

What was needed for the possibility of actually destroying Israel is that her Worldwide enemies- not just the Moslems/Arabs- would face the type of Israeli leaders of the current crop.

They don't need to surrender. They've stopped reproducing.

At their current replacement rate (1.1-1.3 per couple), Europe's population will shrink by roughly half with each generation.

They'll mostly be gone within my grandkids lifetime.

Your optimism is based on nothing but wishful thinking. Europe has had a death wish for at least 70 years. Their low birth-rate and "resorts" that are little more than houses of prostitution for both males and females indicate a society on the verge of collapse. It is a freak show that will shortly have no audience. The Muzzies will be able to take over the place with hardly a shot being fired. They will breed Europe into oblivion. If we don't watch it, we will follow them very shortly.

Bad news. Idiot thinking from Israel's alleged leaders. HASHEM might have to step up to the plate ....SOON

King David would have already nuked Mecca and wasted Iranian nuclear facilities. I take loony Amedinijad at his word

You hit the nail on the head with a great big hammer, Dennis! Exactly! I wish Bibi or someone like him was running Israel instead of Tweedlee and Daffy Duck.

WWKDD? What would King David do? This is what Israel's alleged leaders should ask themselves. But being the hacks they are, they won't. Livni is an especially clueless dunce. She's lived close to Muslim nations all her life yet I better understand their feral minds.

Jews spend too much time "understanding" others. This can be fatal when "understanding" Moslems.

I agree with this
They know now what the Moslems intend to do to them, and their sophisticated libertine society doesn't want head cloths and burqas.
As far as
Every published account and analysis I have read adds up to one thing: Europe has surrendered. The Europe of Charles Martel and El Cid is dead. Welcome to Eurabia.
I'd like to ask: just because it's published does it mean it's true?, have you been to Europe recently? Do you only read doom and gloom Europe threads on FR or do you actually try to see what's going on in Europe?, I've been to the USA many times and love it very much, I also see more women and men in traditional arab dress in the Newark airport or downtown manhattan than I ever see in Spain anywhere, and we're over-run supposedly.
Please don't think that I don't think islam is a huge problem for Spain (or Europe and the rest of the world) I do. And it must be addressed quickly and not with a lefty fruitcake solution. BUt as sunkenciv suggested, Europe won't accept the prohibition of all the things that make it Europe (for good and bad). Arabs haven't taken over and won't. Count on it.
I'm much more worried about Brussels and my own government than arabs.

I was on one of the juries at the Venice Film Festival in September. I was shocked at the hatred of America, and the appearance of general exhaustion and weakness in the culture - reflected in the people themselves and the films that were shown.

I don't live in Europe, so my view is more snapshot than comprehensive study. And that's why I prefaced my remarks by saying "published accounts." Certainly, just because something is published does not make it true. I hope you are right that the muzzies are not going to take over in Spain. It's been 15 years since I've been in Spain so I have no firsthand knowledge.

And yes - we have a problem here in the US, too - and are in denial about it ("Our muslims aren't liek that").

Definitely a widespread and serious problem though luckily not among my friends and family and business associates
and the appearance of general exhaustion and weakness in the culture
I don't know what you mean here exactly. Many Europeans might appear (rightly so) unshowered to an American but about culture... I don't think Spanish culture is weakening even though some young lefty peoples think arab music and scarves are cool and want to ban bullfights. By "general exhaustion" maybe you mean laziness? That my FR friend is a product of socialism.

Movies like "The Missing Star" and "Letters from the Sahara" and "Fallen" depicted contemporary Europe as run-down, burned-out, aimlessly hedonistic, lifeless, and without purpose, meaning, or joy. Yes, these are just movies. But what artists choose to reflect about their societies does offer some insight into the culture - at least insofar as the artists see that culture.

Again, this is a snapshot, not a deep study.

In my discussions with fellow jurors (I was the only American), I was struck by their socialist/multiculti outlook. They did not want to be thought of as white Europeans. They must have considered me - with my screaming eagle US flag tee shirts - as the living embodiment of the Ugly American.

Jews are logical and rational people.

This makes it difficult for them to understand animals that talk and walk like humans.

Unless Spain gets a new government, fast, the Muzzies will take it over, probably faster than any other EU country. There are some people in the other countries who are resisting because Islam has been a problem for them for a longer time, but not in Spain, where the left luvs the Islamics. Under prior governments, their rate of Islamic immigration was much lower than most other EU countries, but it has increased under the Socialists.

There is some resistance, particularly from certain bishops, but the government as a whole is insane and is giving the Muslims everything they were seeking in the Madrid bombings.
