WASHINGTON The race to be the No. 2 House Democratic leader turned nasty Tuesday, with challenger Rep. John Murtha accusing opponents of "swift-boat style attacks" that hark back to his days being investigated in the FBI's 1980 Abscam sting.

still trying to figure out a number order for all of these democrats in the democrat sc%$bag heirarchy of s@%mbags. very difficult. they all come pretty close to being the top s$@mbag of all s%$mbags. but, then again, is the word
sc%$bag accurate enough to describe these s$%mbags or should another word be used instead of sc$#bag? also very difficult. (maybe tyrannical sc%$bag is better.....)

Give Dem kids two years to make fools out of themselves and then the adults will be voted back into power in 2008.

Just what I was thinking.
I am glad I clicked on this thread last thing this evening. I needed some laugh-out-loud stuff!

Two years of doing damage is no fun to just prove a point.
These next two years are extremely difficult regarding stabilizing Iraq to the point we can pull out, leaving just semi-permenant military contingencies that will work with the Iraqi military and intellegience corps.
A bonehead like Murtha could totally foul up the whole force structure if he tries to play games with the military appropriations.
Plesoi is as shifty as they come. She will champion the goons on her side to make things tough for the POTUS in issues on Iraq and perhaps even in Afghanistan.
RINOS will help them offset the current support the POTUS still maintains on the hill regarding Iraq.
And one can bet their Sunday bests, they will try to stop the program to monitor foreign terrorist calling into the USA. And Heaven only knows just how the hill is going to react to the administration should things come to a boil concerning Iran. Nothing is static. And nothing is set in concrete.
Things happen. The public intercourse being initiated by some as to why we should be inviting Syria and Iran to become partners in mending Iraq is most disturbing to say the least.
What is the POTUS supposed to do. Just start treating them like responsible nations that can help us in the GWOT. This is total bull *hit. They are the ones causing much of the problems.

The D's took on a lot of DINO's. Many of them pro-choice ones.
We'll see how this all plays out. McCain won't be up to his tricks though.

There's a reason why he served 37 years, tried for colonel twice and was turned down twice.

My 2006 election theory is that if there were no Gang of 14, we would still hold at least the Senate. Thanks, McLame. Good job. DeWine, you know why you were sent packing, and it wasn't Gov. Taft. There will be no "Gang" in the new Congress. The agreement creating it applied to the 109th Congress only.

It would be funny if the stakes weren't so damn high for this Country right now. It looks to me like we have a 'lame-duck' congress. I think they can't override a veto, and they are going to waste so much time 'investigating' and haggling, that I don't see much harm they can do. The President worked well with Dems when he was in Texas, so I think he can pull together decent legislation. In some ways, the close result may have infused his presidency with more power. The Presidency has always been the ultimate power broker and deal maker, when in the right hands.President Bush will do well, imnsho.
In the final tally: The Dems will get all the blame for the next two years for failing to follow through, and we win big in 2008. Also, they can 'call' for a pullout all they want, but I can't see them following through on that and having the blood of hundreds of thousands of dead Iraqis on their hands. They can't do the things they promised! Calling for troop withdrawal was safe while they had no power! Now they can't do it or have multitudes of people killed and get their sorry tails kicked in the next election!
The Dems have just painted themselves into a corner!

Two years of his half-senile ramblings on national TV and the GOP is sure to pick up at least a few seats in the House in '08.Yeah, this guy definitely has some impairments. Just a few cards missing from his deck. Too much alcohol for too long is my guess. He's got the personality.
