Best of luck to both of you. A friend recently published a book on science which we did all the illustrations for and it hasn't gone as well as hoped.
Hope you have a good marketing plan.

Whaddabout Antioch, Alexandria, and Constantinople, what are they, chopped liver? Hardly, JerseyHighlander. The Eastern Rite came out of the same place that the Church of Rome did: The holy city of Jerusalem, with the coming of Jesus Christ. To me this makes them kin.
Christianity in any form did not hit the public notice of Rome until fairly well along in the post-republican (that is to say imperial) period. Until Constantine, most emperors at Rome were happy to supply Christians to the public games, or otherwise make their lives as miserable as possible in this life, well before the Church divided into "east" and "west."
Again, the Eastern Church and the Church at Rome are eternal bothers -- by shared experience, by common suffering, all according to the exigencies of a common human history, illuminated by a basic theology, which -- details of doctrinal difference on the "finer points" notwithstanding -- both East and West cherish in common, as brothers under our Father in heaven, by means of our kinship to His Son, Jesus Christ, the Logos.
May God bless us all. Thank you so much for writing, JerseyHighlander.

I've bailed out on these threads as well. Jim Robinson's posts have made it clear that people who adhere to the theory of biological are probably Marxists and God-destroyers and will be at best tolerated on FR. There are also a core group of posters on these threads who are happy to ignore any physical evidence that's theologically ionconvenient.
Congratulations on getting your words printed.

Yes - science is the child of philosophy. It's been over 2,000 years since that child was born. Science grew up.

Hip, hip, HOORAY! I'm so glad! I'm so enormously proud of you! I can't wait to read the whole book, to hold it in my hands! Thank you for applying your gifts to the writing of this book! This particular point has been uppermost in my thinking lately, and seems especially appropriate to the Free Republic forum:
For the Framers, human reason itself was understood as a gift of God. Such men as Washington, Franklin, Jefferson, Madison, Jay, Hamilton et al. believed that God is the Creator of the universe, and of man; and that God made man imago Dei, in his image; that is, possessing reason and free will as his natural birthright. On this understanding the Framers believed that the human person is innately endowed with certain inalienable rights preeminently life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness
that may not be violated, abridged, nor tampered with by any other man or temporal authority with impunity. The heritage of Jerusalem and Athens Judeo-Christian theology, together with its appropriation and synthesis of classical metaphysics is the philosophical rock on which the Constitution was built. The Framers and their generation were also people of faith. It took a whole lot of sheer faith to forge a new nation conceived in Liberty, one dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal because they are all equally the children of God.
And thus the idea of a dynamic rule of law of, by, and for a sovereign people under a system of equal justice for all men, not an arbitrary rule of kings exercising their authority over other (unequal) men by divine right, was born.
I'm not as great a thinker, and nowhere near as educated as you - I certainly have to do quite a bit of chewing on the terms and constructs you put forth! - but I delight to read that my personal understanding of our foundation is 'of the same mind' as yours, as like as that of a (very) little sister (;

It seems clear to me that almost all points of view are welcome here, provided people behave themselves in civilized manner, and do not undermine the purpose for which this wonderful Forum exists: the defense of our free republic, of our national sovereignty, and of our American way of life. Bump that! I also was just overwhelmed with joy to read Jim Robinson's treatment of these very (Timothy) things so recently.
I do love your subtitle.

I also admire the thoughtful choice of cover design. If the worldwide flood and the ark of deliverance were not factual and historical, as recorded by the ancients, then the word that speaks to the coming fire that will likewise cleanse the whole earth, and the One Way to be saved through that burning up of non-eternal things, are not possibilities to be wrestled with (
2 Peter 3).
I am convinced that the fossil record actually scientifically proves the account of the worldwide flood of which we read in Scripture.
I sincerely appreciate that your book is framed as dialogue.
