There's no results there. Where are the numbers?

I guess it's good for 08

Bank it. A Dem takeover of the House is very good for the Republican presidential candidate in 08.

A party with NO direction with power in the House? Romney is licking his chops.

IF the night goes as I fear, then we have to face soem facts - are voters really so fed up with Republicans? IF so - what has them fed up? Iraq?

If nothing else is learned, it is that the press still has the power to manipulate voters...

And truth means nothing anymore.

And GW's weak stand on Illegals hasn't helped the case.

Pour me a drink. They just predicted Whitehouse wins Rhode Island over Linc Chaffee. (Make that drink a double.)

This is difficult to believe. It must be based on exit polls.

Those exact thoughts were just going through my head as I took a shower.

The same friggin media that cost us Vietnam, has just now handed Osama a victory

Who needs numbers? FOX said Cardin wins.

This does not make sense--a projection based on so few precincts and Channel 8 News--DC area--reported there was low turnout in Baltimore City--a Dem stronghold.

Baltimore City and PG county are necessary for a Democrat to win in Maryland. I believe many stayed home because it is an off year and they did not want to vote against Steele.

These numbers are coming out of Baltimore County and Steele and Ehrlich are both ahead. Baltimore County is heavily democrat and is Cardin's home area.

''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''

they won't call a race for a republican so they can keep the suspense of who's going to hold the senate late into the night. If they call the dems early and the republicans late they keep the possibility of a dem takeover alive until the last possible moment.

With few exceptions the Dems ran very conservative candidates in the competitive races. This election simply CANNOT be seen as win for liberalism or the Democratic agenda. In fact, the Democratic leadership was extremely careful to keep the liberal agenda and fruitcakes out of sight for fear that it would doom their chances.

Tomorrow, if the Dems take over, they face a trap even Houdini couldn't escape from: how to implement the liberal agenda (which all the fruitcakes will demand as their "due") without setting themselves up for a 40 seat loss in 2008.

All of these freshman Dem representatives who won in conservative districts by passing themselves off as gun-loving, abortion-hating, gay-marriage rejecting conservatives will have to choose between keeping Kamrade Pelosi happy or alienating the electorate that put them in the House.

Make no mistake about it: Pelosi is in for one hell of a miserable ride.
