I read an excellent post by Freeper Common Tator on another thread a while back. This is an excerpt.Read it and think about it: "This is truly an election between the Media and the Republican party. Never in my lifetime have I seen a time when the media makes no effort to hide its bias. The media constantly presents the Democratic talking points as fact. They have never done that before. They no longer make an effort to attribute their points.. They state them as fact. It is an attempt to change the direction of the nation. They understand that the Democrats failed at defeating Bush and the Republican party. So the media has taken on that task. And if they win no politician will dare cross the media again. Neither parties candidates will dare cross the media. It will be seen as the path to sure defeat. But if the Republicans win this election the opposite will be apparent to every candidate. The media will have shown that it can neither elect or defeat a candidate. Only the voters can do that. Both parties will realize that they are to the left of their voters. And since it will be apparent that the voters are in control both parties will move to the right. Democrats will see total opposition to Republicans as a losing strategy. It may please the media... but not the voters. So they will move a bit to the right and cooperate. The filibusters will decrease. Cooperation will increase. The entire government will move to the right. But if the media wins, then the voters of both parties lose... Every politician ... Republican and Democrat will try to please the media by moving left. No election in my lifetime has been this important. We must defeat the media or they will rule this nation for at least the next generation."
This is exactly true.
I am a professor who constantly offers to explain how we actually are winning in Iraq and have won.
I am never taken up with press time to explain.
I have never seen the media allow anyone other than Bush or Cheney explain in the media that we are winning.
The media is totally opposed to the war in Iraq and lies about our successes there.

This isn't true at all. The media have been pro-liberal for as long as I can remember and that is going back over 50 years.
