If you are a conservative, you know that taking out Saddam was the right thing. Tough and unpopular, but the right thing.

It's not taking out Saddam which was the problem, it was hanging around in Iraq trying to build "Islamic Democracy" that has wrecked Bush's presidency. Destroying an enemy regime was a fine idea, attempting to build some fantasy "Islamic democracy" for hordes that have no understanding or desire for it was a horrible mistake. Some of us have said this all along.

There will be NO sustainable "Islamic Democracy" in Iraq unless we plan to stay in that hellhole imposing our will on those people. The majority of Iraqi's want only for their own particular cleric to be in charge so they can oppress the rest. Yes, there are some good Iraqi's whom share the noble dream, but not the majority.

Please, no more attempts to build "Islamic democracies" ever again. This has destroyed Bush's presidency and just cost us the House and perhaps the Senate.

Let me tell you something. There are people in this world who want to kill you, your parents, your children for no other reason than the fact that you are an American. In a few years down the road these fanatical lunatics will acquire the means, technology and material to develop a nuclear weapon. There is no stopping it, there is nothing you can do.

What do you propose we do?

I propose we force freedom on these maniacs so that the people they live with and break bread with are too busy making money and inventing things and trading with US to have the time to bother with killing you.

I don't see any other way. Unless, of course, you simply want to nuke them into glass artifacts.

Iraq had to be dealt with. It was never going to be easy, but it was necessary. It is now the focus of the struggle between our cultures. If we run away, they win.

Osama Bin Laden was apparently right, the US doesn't have the balls to defeat Muslims.

Tell that to the millions of Iraqis in 14 out 18 provinces, who now have fresh, clean water, medical clinics, immunization for their children, schools, school supplies, improving electricity, operational oil wells, businesses, cell phones, satellite TV's, a free press of 150 newspapers, playgrounds for their children .... and who are SO grateful to Pres. George W. Bush for their freedom, for the end to human shredding machines, for the end of Uday and Qusay's rape chambers and amputation and electric shock games ...for being constantly spied on and deprived of any human dignity or privacy ...

and which people risked their very lives to vote in 3 elections, to go on to outfit their official government, have 25% of their legislature female (the only such in the Muslim Middle East), get a constitution going ...

and who've seen the evil maniac who brutally tortured, murdered and oppressed them and his neighbors for decades, and who was working on and had weapons of mass destruction and biological toxin programs ..

(which diabolical monster was captured by the diligence and bravery of the best military force in the world: OUR US Forces...)

and who just saw their new official justice system go through a year-long democratic trial and sentence that monster to death by hanging!

Tell that to the grateful children and families who have come to love and honor our incredibly brave, kind and decent troops for all the freedom, improvements and blessings in their lives .. given them from the hearts and sacrifice of our brave troops!

I'd love to see you walk up to one of these soldiers and have the nerve to say that.
