I believe Talent is holding on out in Missouri, too. It appears increasingly likely that we will be able to hold on to at least three competitive senate seats: TN, MO, VA.

DeWine should never have been retired before that nasty crooked Voinivich.
Heard ugly things about Brown over the years - some should look up Margaret Mueller who ran against him in the past....

Rick was wasted on the morons in PA. And I say that as one who was born in Philadelphia and whose family still lives in the area. To those of my loved ones who drank the Kool-aide--#$$%. Additionally, I don't want to hear one stinking word about your stinking taxes, the medical system or any other damn thing. Got it?

I'm watching Santorum concede right now. I can hardly believe it. I don't have the nice words for Casey (spit) that Rick has. Let's hope we see him run for higher office in the future. As usual, he's gracious in defeat, his children are in tears. I can't watch anymore... Win one for the union 'leadership' here in PA. It's on PCN and Cspan if you can watch this good man concede whilst the scummy Casey 'wins'.

Anyone who was here for the endless Gore recount knows that tonite is nothing compared to that,,the most incredible month I ever spent.
We need to watch and see. So many absentees. Va doesn't count theeirs for a couple of weeks,,someone said that earlier.

well, who stayed home? look at some of these "heartland" congressional seats the Rs are losing in places like IN and KY. whose not voting in those districts? the RINOs? Exactly right.
ATTENTION: All Conservative bashers. Conservatives showed up. It's the precious unreliable moderates that seem to have sat this one out. So if you want to blast anyone, thank the ungrateful pack of Republican Moderates the GOP catered to the past two years. Don't believe me? Check out what races are going down. It ain't the conservative strongholds by and large, it's the wimpish Lib Mod districts.

Good post, but you overlook one important point. The U.S. Treasury is now spending billions of dollars on things "off-budget" (including a big chunk of the military campaigns in Iraq and Afghanistan). The bill for these things is eventually going to come due.
Not to be a pessimist, but the last time the bill for things of this sort came due, we got 1973-79 for our troubles.

Their wish? We begged this administration, Congress and the Senate to pay attention to this issue, overspending and other issues. Now it's our fault? LOL Oh no you don't.Exactly, many of us were here on FR this spring warning that the GOP would get destroyed in november unless they did an about face on immigration and they didn't.
Now, like then, the Bushbots want to shoot the messenger.
