Think how I feel, I've got to vote for Snowe tomorrow. I believe she voted for Roberts and Alito. Not sure about Chaffee. But I believe he would not be part of a filibuster, he said last year that the President's judicial nominees deserved an up or down vote. With Stevens set to retire we need all the votes we can to stop a filibuster.
Right now I've got the GOP, including Chafee's seat, with 54 after tuesday. With a little luck it's 55. Which leaves 45 democrats, 6 to deal with to break a filibuster.
Well, I've got to vote for that RINO Arnold. But I am reconciled to it, because I know that he is a Republican, and he is about as conservative as we can hope for here in CA. I also get to vote for Tom McClintock, who has a chance for Lt. Gov., and for whom Arnold has been helpful.
Chafee in RI being the least bit Republican is a veritable profile in courage. DeWine is from a nominally Red state, and he has no excuse for his perfidious RINOism.
That's right, Sen. Snowe voted to confirm Justice Roberts and Justice Alito.
Sen. Chafee voted to confirm Roberts, but voted No for Alito.
