DEMOCRATS WORKING TO SUPPRESS MILITARY VOTES ..... AGAIN! [UNGRIGGIN' REAL ALERT]
Neral Boortz ^ | Nov. 3, 2006 | Neal Boortz

Posted on 11/03/2006 8:27:18 AM PST by conservativecorner

Democrat Party disdain ... bordering on outright dislike ... of and toward our men and women in uniform is what pounded me back into reality earlier this week. John Kerry made his insipid remarks about soldiers in Iraq and Democrats, by and large, remained silent. Harold Ford stepped up, and perhaps one or two others, but by and large Democrats were content to let Kerry make yet another in his long string of remarks denigrating our military without condemnation.

Kerry's remarks served to remind me also of the Democrat's penchant for trying to suppress military votes. Sadly, too few Americans remember that in 2000 Al Gore and the Democrats sent hoards of lawyers to Florida during the recount debacle. These particular lawyers were charged with one responsibility. They were to fan out to every single voting district in Florida and do everything they possibly could to make sure that military absentee ballots were not counted in the election. Funny, isn't it, how the media doesn't seem to be too eager to remind us of this attempt at voter suppression. But let the Republicans support the idea of a voter proving his identity at the polls and all media hell breaks out.

Well ... here we go again. New Jersey Democrat Congressman Rush Holt has fired off a letter to Donald Rumsfeld challenging a Pentagon program that allows service members to request and submit ballots in the upcoming election via fax or email. Holt, wanting to appear as if he's actually trying to protect our troops, says the system could expose them to identity theft.

Yeah ... right.

Democrats know that military personnel are more likely to vote Republican than Democrat. They also know that there is a wave of anger in the military over Kerry's remarks. Time to get out there and make sure those military votes don't count .... again.

The Dems hate anyone who does not swallow their criminal, socialist horse%$$@. The military has their number, especially their anti-military, anti-America number and they don't like it.

The socialist elitists are at it again. They tried once, and now they are trying again. It was expected...Thank You John Kerry for putting the whipped cream on the dessert...

Well, then, we'd better have no welfare, S.S. or any government programs using the internet or e-mail for anything involving personal information. Like job-seeking, benefit applications, licensing, etc. This must all be done by mail or in person, for the very reasons given by Holt. Right, Congressman Holt?

Lucky the admin and GOP Governors and Legislatures were all over these kinds of reforms to keep things honest after the 2000 election mess.

What, they haven't done much? Go figure that one out.

simple solution.......when you sign all the pepers to enlist, provide one more, a request for abentee ballot form that is sent to the town hall where the soldier lives. they will then get all absentee ballots well before the election. if the town fails to send it, prosecute them.

The democrats loathe and despise the military. They have hated the military since Vietnam.

John Carry's comments should not have even been news--he's shown his CONTEMPT for the military for the last 30 years--repeatedly in Vietnam, and most recently, when he accused our troops of TERRORIZING women and children.

The democrats are 'for the troops'---right up until the time comes to COUNT THEIR BALLOTS!

The democrats shouldn't worry about the military voting electronically.

As John Carry made perfectly CLEAR--they are much too stupid to be able to figure out how to do it. /s

Because of the Internet, the military has already heard about the democrats trying to destroy their votes.
(If they didn't hear about Gores attempt to silence them in 2000, they know about that now, too.)

The military is no doubt furious at democrats. Not only are they called "illiterate idiots", but now their right to vote is also being attacked by democrats.

Living in NJ as I do, I see cars that have Holt bumper stickers on them. The stickers read, "My Congressman IS a Rocket Scientist!"

Typical liberals: they are like panting puppies at the ankles of anyone they think is smarter than everyone else.

I am perpetually amazed at just how stupid liberals really are.

The dems are just mad that they can not try to claim again that the military votes were 'too late to be counted'....lol

Now all we have to worry about are dem district 'computer problems'.........

Where do the military votes go? To each individual district or a central clearing site?

there are 2 legitimate problems with the pentagon system---1., that it is being routed through UNENCRYPTED e-mail where it is vulnerable to hackers, and

2. because the ballots would not be secret. Both officials at the Dept of Defense and even some government contractors would have access to the ballots

no credit card company or bank would allow such lax security

I don't see why we can't do overseas voting the same way we always had, with a paper slip and a sealed envelope
