"Kyle Orton is the moonbat you are referring to, not Drew Brees."

Thank you, IN-FG.
I stand corrected, not *too* unusual for a Badger fan. {g}

"His dad is some high-level Department of Labor lawyer in Iowa."

Interesting as WI's new head coach, some kid by the name of Brett Behlema (sp?) hails from Iowa, also.
Hmmmm, wonder what it means. :o)

"Believe me, that Wisconsin-Purdue game and the gift from Kyle Orton still roils the Boiler faithful."

I'll just bet it does, and who could blame 'em.
Had it happened to my guys & under the same circumstances I'd *still* be talking to myself. ;^)

Well courtesy of you now my "revenge" can be rightly placed.

...thanks, girl. ;^)

This situation is a commentary on her, not him...how many children have to start a legal cease-and-desist action?

"Well...He still makes $59,950,000 more than I do..."

And that means?

"Whether or not he is worth it, I'd still have not let this go public, and take my mom down with it...Regardless of political affiliation and office... "

Nor would I in all likelihood.
Then again he's his own man, be that as it may.

"But I guess thats just me...My mom is a moderate Democrat, as is most of her family that I know of..."

You're not alone in that regard.
You'll never know the grief I've had to persevere for loving a woman whose parents are so left they're beyond the 12 mile horizon.
~sigh~
My only satisfaction when arguing politics with them is to remind 'em their daughter will negate her mother's vote & mine her father's.
Ohhhh look, there I going exercising "sweet revenge" again.
Mybad. ;^)

"My conservative and moral side compels me to honor and respect my mother and father regardless if something petty like this gets in the way and rubs me wrong..."

I can appreciate your POV, and must say these days it's as rare as hen's teeth.
If ya know what I mean?

"And I would certainly jump on a plane (especially with those kinda bucks) and have a face to face with her before I'd sic a legal vulture on her for something like this..."

Yea well maybe so.
Seems to me when your salary has been increased by $59,950,000 you may be put to the test.
For my part I'd have asked mother to cease & desist, once, and that'd have been all that was necessary.

"Some folks are right...I think he's a wuss for not at least confronting her privately and before any stupid legal action being necessary...I think we have a bit too much drama in this anyway..."

Can't argue with you, dirty laundry inside the family must always be kept inside the family.
Still in this day & age of form without substance & the worst of the worst quislings running amok with the Republic's information sources et al it could be argued America's thirst for drama could never be quenched, only heightened.
Seems the dirtier the laundry, the better.
Go figure.

"Mom's not going to win anyway..."

From your mouth, Mr.stevie.

...to God's ear. {g}

Wow that was quite the retort. You don't have to be a football fan to know that whether he himself is still a Dem or not his mother had no legal right, let alone moral right, to use his image without his consent.

That you base your siding with the mother's view because he said he wanted to be Dem POTUS and he lost a big game shows your priorities.

You can call me a moron if you like - a standard lib tactic - but it still is crystal clear that you base your motivation for schadenfreuden on an emotional response to a FOOTBALL GAME and a statement of political ambition. You said it yourself so I couldn't possibly make the point any clearer.

Did I say and/or imply any such thing, whatsoever?
No.

Does that -- alone -- still make you a moron?

...absolutely. ;^)

Glad to see your criteria for wussiness is the fact that YOU are able to get YOUR mother to do your bidding. Apparently your family relationship (control) is the defacto standard to be applied to everybody else.

Shallow.

I stand in error again, you're not a moron.

By stating that he was getting his "just desserts" may, admittedly, not mean you agree with her point of view, but it unquestionably shows that your view is tangentially supportive because this familial disagreement is, according to you, a justified blowback because he has Dem political ambitions and lost a big game.

His political ambition for the Donkies repulses me also. Whether he is still a full-blown Donkey was pure speculation on my part but your justification is emotionally based. That is not speculation. Your posts prove it.

Let the childish namecalling continue as I sure it will.

I said: "Glad to see your criteria for wussiness is the fact that YOU are able to get YOUR mother to do your bidding."

You said: "~huh"

I SAY: Let me clarify. That you could get your mother to "cease and desist" with one call shows your mom has class.

I said: "Apparently your family relationship (control) is the defacto standard to be applied to everybody else."

I again say: It couldn't be any clearer that by saying your mom would listen to you after one call implies that anyone else that couldn't get the same response from mom in one call is falling short of your mark. You didn't directly state it but you clearly implied it.

That all being said I have no problem with you vehemently disagreeing with me. But if you are going to call me a moron and a nut you are just providing a projection of yourself. Name calling IS shallow. There is no sense in wasting any more keystrokes./

"Well...He still makes $59,950,000 more than I do..."

[i]And that means?[/i]

Just that it appears he has more latitude to either give a rats about his image being used, and or someone gqaining profit or position from using it, and him not gaining from it...

It appears he may have taken issue with this because someone, or he himself got a bug up his rear about it and that it may tarnish any political future he may have...

Its kinda like you don't want to hang on the anchor if the ships going down...With all those lifeboats floating around...

If the facts are approximately as described in the article then this is all about her character, not his. It was despicable even to begin to use his image in a political campaign without permission, especially if she knew he wouldn't want to be associated with her campaign. If it took a legal threat to get her to stop then he is not a wuss - what was he supposed to do, threaten his own mother with violence??

She sounds like a real piece of work and a contemptible person - why was I not surprised to see the "Demagogue" party associated with her name?

"By stating that he was getting his 'just desserts' may, admittedly, not mean you agree with her point of view..."

Ahhhhhh, *progress*.
Yesssssss!

"...but it unquestionably shows that your view is tangentially supportive because this familial disagreement is, according to you, a justified blowback because he has Dem political ambitions and lost a big game."

I'm a BADGER FAN, for crying out loud.
That's IT.
If you [can] extrapolate anything more is only because you're a Texan & NOT a Big 10 fan, neighbor.
It's a *rivalry* - Purdue & Wisconsin, see?
That a self described little pinhead Liberal-Socialist gets creamed in the context of a football game?
Doesn't get any sweeter, to me.
Moreover if you don't like [that], it's YOUR problem, not mine.
Capiche?

You drew an awful lot of conclusions from my posting based on facts not in evidence, nevermind you're not "knowing" me -- a'tall -- *&* in spite of my many years as a forum "citizen" here.
See?

Put another way (for you & those in Rio Linda) any retort(s) I may have made (toward you) are not, "a standard lib tactic".
There're a defense. { *doink!* }
There's a difference, y'know.

"That all being said I have no problem with you vehemently disagreeing with me."

Thank you, my liege. {g}
Ain't America great.

"But if you are going to call me a moron and a nut..."

It's because *that* is precisely how you come across?
Maybe?
Could be?
Is it possible!??!

"...you are just providing a projection of yourself."

Thank you Doctor Phil.
Of course that'd mean exactly what of *you*, then?
Pray-tell.

"Name calling IS shallow."

Drawing unwarranted & baseless conclusion(s), base "labeling" and an apparent inability to convey your ideas and/or thought(s) clearly & concisely is a lot worse & especially at a place like this.
Least of which it should be embarrassing.
You've proved that much, don'tcha think?
Seriously trying to follow your train of thought makes deciphering Aborigines Click-Clack look easy, by comparison. ;^)

Let you and I -- as conservatives -- focus on the upcoming elections & set aside personality conflict(s) involving millionaire jocks & obvious poor *chemistry* (we appear to share).

Don't [really] believe you're *that* bad -- weird screen name, maybe :o) -- but not a "bad" person, per se.
I'm a pussycat, anyone who claims to "know" me knows that too, FWIW.

The Liberal-Socialists, OTOH, won't be nearly as gracious.

...*priorities*, pal. ;^)

Oh, I think you must have him confused with John Kerry. I just watched his news conference. Now there is a REAL man. What an idiot. But I guess there are plenty of threads on that topic today. We don't need to get that one going on here.

"Just that it appears he has more latitude to either give a rats about his image being used, and or someone gqaining profit or position from using it, and him not gaining from it..."

He's a wealthy jock & I *suspect* that's the reason -- & the only reason -- why the Liberal-Socialist quisling mediots glommed onto the story, my friend.
The fiends posing as scribes these days smelled misery, discord & anger.
Blood in the water is guaranteed to attract the urinalist ilk.
Now had it been you or I having this kind of dust-up, do you think it'd have made a rag on any page assuming said dust-up didn't involve homicide?
Of course not.

"It appears he may have taken issue with this because someone, or he himself got a bug up his rear about it and that it may tarnish any political future he may have..."

Perhaps you're correct; however, if one chooses to believe the piece -- & I c/wouldn't blame if they didn't -- then it's the story of an awful relationship.
A relationship vividly described in painful, excruciating detail?
That was at the root of the guy asking his mother remove all references to his celebrity in her campaign.
Be my take, anyway.
These kinds of rifts within families exist, and vengeance the order of the day more than ever before & "stories" of vengeance and/or revenge qualifies as "news" to the quisling-carp.
~eh?

"Its kinda like you don't want to hang on the anchor if the ships going down...With all those lifeboats floating around..."

HA!!
Great analogy.

...think the 'Rats ever heard it? {g}
