From what I can see, France still appears to believe that appeasement works.
Or perhaps the European French recognize that they're depopulating themselves out of existence through their low birth rate, and have decided it's easier to go under than to fight for their culture and heritage.
In 100 years France may look like another Islamic third-world country--shabby, unkempt, and desolate. No Eiffel Tower, Louvre, or Arc de Triumph to mark the spot where Paris stood for 1500 years.
If they don't have enough pride to fight for their own country, perhaps they deserve to disappear.

If you read Mark Steyn you get depressed because Europe is doomed demographically to become extinct. How can a whole race of people have a suicide wish or just do nothing?

Here's a quote from one article.

What would have happened if a bus patron attacked them back? If 4 thugs tried to do this to a bus I was on, I'd go in swinging.

They torch about 150 cars a night in France so I guess they want a bigger fire with buses.
The Religion of Peace is up and running on its gas bottles.
However, gas is $6.00 + per gallon so they may be using something else.

Note to France: You are not going to solve this problem until you start throwing these "youths" in jail. As an outsider, it sounds to me that civil war is just around the corner. As a side benefit, throwing these rioters in jail will help reduce your high unemployment problem.
