Michael J. Fox is turning into Darth Vader. After all, he had a "good" reason to kill the Jedi younglings, too.
The only consolation is that Darth Vader is not real. What Michael J. Fox proposes would kill real younglings.

Fox has a right to be used ... his call. But this is another time dems have put up a person we can't answer. New York "widows", mother's of dead soldiers, and now someone suffering from a horrible disease. Why don't dems make their arguments the fair way - their ideas vs ours? Why the guilt trips and drama queen bits?

Don't let real facts get in the way, you will just waste your breath and time... if you have that much time to waste just go to DU and you will see what 30% of our nation believes.
Another analogy is Pig Wrestling, When you wrestle a pig you can't win you just get tired and muddy and yet the pig enjoys it.
If your goal is to pleasure the pig... knock yourself out

Regardless of my stance on the concept of stem cell research, I simply don't think the Federal government is the best entity to oversee medical research. Leave it up to private organizations and their backers and you'll get better management.
To: Alberta's Child
The fact is that adult stem cells have already produced remarkable cures, whereas embryonic stem cells have failed. This should come as no great surprise to anyone with a background in high school biology. Great article, AC. Thanks.
To: Mr. Brightside
If Fox thinks embryonic stem cell is so positive for a cure, he and, his wife can produce a baby. Then they can use the baby for research or to treat his disorder.
You know, if he is going to bitch and, lie about the Republican
Party put your money where your mouth is.

You're welcome, Victoria. You picked out the part that sums up the issue best, too.

Exactly. You'd think the ferocity with which Mike Fox holds to life would clue him and his ilk that ALL life is precious, not just his own behind.

Why hasn't Fox mentioned that any private company is completely free to conduct stem cell research if they like? Then he could go on to say that private companies are not rushing to conduct stem cell research because they realize that it would be a waste of their time and resources when compared to other forms of research. Stem cell research is not illegal at all, it just is not funded by the government. Of course, liberals couldn't function if their government masters weren't there to control and fund everything for them.

conflating?
You mean like turning a discussion about green house gasses, which are a real issue, into "Global Warming" which is a naturally occurring event?
Or Gay Marriage, which is the destruction of marriage and thus the family, when they could care less about marriage.
Conflating...hmmm...nice word.
