The Washington Post has replaced the original article at the source link and almost completely rewritten their hit piece with a new author:

Below is an excerpt of the Original article before the Washington Post rewrote it.

Conservative radio talk show host Rush Limbaugh today attacked actor Michael J. Fox for inserting his halting voice into the U.S. Senate campaign in Missouri, suggesting Fox was "acting" in a commercial where he's shown shaking while endorsing the importance of stem cell research.

"He is exaggerating the effects of the disease," Limbaugh told listeners today, encouraging them to go online to watch Fox's commercial, which first aired Oct. 21 in St. Louis during a World Series game. "He's moving all around and shaking and it's purely an act."

In the commercial, Fox throws his support behind Democratic Missouri Senate candidate Claire McCaskill, who supports stem cell research, against Republican James M. Talent. Fox also taped similar ads for other Democratic candidates, including Benjamin L. Cardin in his Senate race against Republican Michael S. Steele in Maryland and Wisconsin Gov. Jim Doyle (D), who is seeking reelection.

"What you do in Missouri matters to millions of Americans, Americans like me," Fox said in the television spot, which will continue airing throughout Missouri this week.

"This is the only time I've ever seen Michael J. Fox portray any of the symptoms of the disease he has," Limbaugh said. "He can barely control himself."

Limbaugh said Fox could "control himself enough to stay in the frame of the picture" and to keep "his eyes right on the . . . teleprompter. But his head and shoulders are moving all over the place."

"He is acting like his disease is deteriorating because Jim Talent opposes research that would help him get cured," Limbaugh said, adding that Talent only opposes "fetal stem cell research, but not adult."

"This is really shameless of Michael J. Fox," Limbaugh said. "Either he didn't take his medication or he's acting."

Here come the hit pieces on Rush. Funny, the reporter neglects to report what Rush found, that Fox wrote in his book that he went off his meds when he testified to Congress to show the effects of the disease.

Fox has my sympathies, but this is exactly what Ann Coulter describes in Godless where the Democrats trot out a victim and use them as a shield to ward off debate on their political beliefs.

I find it despicable that a person with a so far incurable disease would prostrate themselves championing the murder of unborn humans.

From Rush today:

"Now, in terms of Michael J. Fox, I did some research today, and I found his book that was published. It's "Lucky Man," 2002, but he admits in the book that before Senate subcommittee on appropriations I think in 1999, September of 1999, he did not take his medication for the purposes of having the ravages and the horrors of Parkinson's disease illustrated, which was what he has done in the commercials that are running for Claire McCaskill and Jim Talent. So when you insert yourself into the political arena this way, to expect insulation and absolution and to expect yourself not to have what you say criticized in the manner in which you're trying to sway opinion is a little bit I think above the fray. I mean, to think that you're immune from any sort of criticism, it's worked in the past for Democrats, but it doesn't work here."

John Gibson ran some recent footage of Fox, with no weaving and bobbing like on the ads. He's an ACTOR, not sure why people don't think of that.

I think Rush is setting up the MSM in a big controversy that will expose them. This is not the end to this. Go Rush!

Rush should sue each and every left leaning news outlet that publishes this tripe. He can singlehandedly rip out the guts of the DNC spin machine if he does.

Fox has my sympathies...

I pray for God's mercy to be bestowed upon him and do not wish PD on anyone, but this two-bit, wannabe-actor, limousine-liberal is prostituting himself and his disease for political purposes and telling damned lies about a candidate in the process.

He'll get no sympathy from me.

That's not what Rush said, and he didn't "attack" Fox. Sheesh.

Hey, I'm in DC on temporary duty for 4 months. What's shaking out here with the DC contingent?

The Wash Compost will never expose the difference between embryonic stem cell reasearch and adult stem cell research.

BTW, when is the Wash Compost going to ask Michael J. Fox when he and his wife could produce their own embryos for later harvest for their stem cells, and that would be perfectly legal and they have the financial means to do so, but yet they don't.

What kills me is that the leftists can make the most wildest claims without question from an obviously and undeniably biased media. Yet conservatives can say: The sun is up. It could be high noon and yet the obviously biased media will ask the conservative something like: You allege that the sun is up.

Libs like Fox think that "free speech" means they --and only they-- can say what they like (which is true) and not be faced with repercussions of what they say (which is not true). It's a classic case of "free speech for me, not thee."

"Fox has my sympathies, but this is exactly what Ann Coulter describes in Godless where the Democrats trot out a victim and use them as a shield to ward off debate on their political beliefs."

Also, it has been reported and I suppose it is true that Fox became an US citizen in 2000. Canada has stem cell research. Why did he not stay in Canada where he could get the research that he feels will help him?
I wonder, has it ever been proven that stem cell research would help him, or, is this just a political scream?
Really, I wish he would go back to Canada.
I don't want him here and I surely don't want that awful ad coming into my home.

I agree. I listened carefully to Rush's words today and believe this is correct. I also agree that placing yourself or, worse yet as Rush also wondered about, being duped into placing yourselg in this position does not get you a free flak vest.

Rush said that he was probably off his meds or acting to make the shaking worse. Turns out he was off his meds to support death to embryos. An absolutely ghoulish trick.
