For one thing everone said O'Connor should be replaced with a woman. I'd imagine the others (JRB, et al) just didn't want the hassle.
I trust the President....it was his decision and that's what I voted for him (twice) to do - use HIS judgement. I knew Miers couldn't be as bad as the squishy LIEberal that was being replaced.

I watch FOX but at 5:30 watch NBC because I like to see what the enemy is pushing for the day. It is 30 mins of DNC talking points.
