"my school is different, my school is just fine"
It would seem that the desire to rationalize one's own (mis)behavior is strong indeed. And that's all that excuse is. A rationalization.
Let me translate what "my school is different, my school is just fine" really means. Substitute it with: "Having to pay for childcare would stop me from being able to have _____(insert the expensive toy of choice)."
Now isn't that more accurate way of communicating what is really being said?
I have no doubt that some schools are indeed better than others. The tsunami if moral relativism, feminism, homosexualism and marxism hasn't deluged every school in the US at the same moment. But every school is a target.
I homeschooled years and years ago and even then the text books were saturated with leftist dogma, I can imagine what they're like now.
