Cleveland Schools To Start Some Sex Education In Kindergarten

Self-Esteem, Peer Pressure Main Topics Of Course Cleveland school officials said they will expand sex education curriculum to include age-appropriate lessons that begin as early as kindergarten.

The initiative came as Cleveland's teen birth rates are high but dropping, and rates of some sexually transmitted diseases are rising.

Cleveland schools already offer sex education to many of their middle and high school students.

The new classes, which begin soon, will address self-esteem and peer pressure. Children in grades kindergarten through third grade will learn about how viruses work and appropriate and inappropriate touching. Grades four to six will learn about menstruation and other aspects of reproductive health.

Participation is voluntary, and public health and school personnel hope Cleveland parents support the effort.

As do all subversive enemies of a good and strong country.

I think it is time to reevaluate sex education being taught in the public schools, we need to return to basic academics and get rid of all these side programs that drain funds and provide no value for dollars spent.

Now, now. Where else can the children learn to put a condom on a banana?

They are past their level of compentence to teach so have moved onto something that gives them a feeling of compentence..................but has nothing to do with thier actual job.

When I attended kindergarten back in the very earl 50's we had sex ed too.
If you were a boy you went to the boys restroom, if you were a girl you went to the girls restroom.
Very simple concept which we learned on day one.

Know what's funny? This is EXACTLY what we as conservatives predicted would happen.

Yes. More ignorant, racist school kids who feel GOOD about themselves.

How utterly revolting! The problem is that the cultural Marxist NEA and liberals control all education. Conservatives have to start making education a real priority. It's not glamorous but getting involved at the school board and state legislative level is very important.

It's really hard to fight the education mafia.

In Texas, the GOP controlled legislature approved mandatory UN UNESCO education throughout Texas schools. This slipped through the radar of grassroots and the only organization/person who showed up at the public hearing was Eagle Forum. We simply must work on our legislators to oppose anything and everything being pushed by the evil UN.

The question is; does their definition of 'age appropriate' fit my definition of 'age appropriate'.

Cause honestly, other than 'don't let anyone touch you where your bathing suit goes', there is no appropriate sex ed for kindergarteners.

The new classes, which begin soon, will address self-esteem and peer pressure.

VOA's speculative take on what the beginning sex-ed cirriculum for
kindergartners will be:

LESSON ONE
How To Play Doctor

When you play doctor with your friends, try to be the doctor.
It's more fun to watch your playmates take their clothes off.

LESSON TWO
What To Rub And How To Rub It...

Perhaps they can just get Mark Foley to IM the kids. That would be an education.

Just what is age appropriate? I bet the school will use the SIECUS guidelines. No parent should expose their child to such toxic lies.
