Nifong is the one that needs to go to jail.
First time I've watched 60 Minutes in years. I had never heard the issue that the DA's office used a lineup displaying all the players but with no ringers inserted. This way, she could pick three people and know that there was no way to pick someone who wasn't there. That was a real eye opener and the professor that pointed it out hit a home run with that comment. Where's Cosmo when you need him? (Seinfeld reference).
I wonder if prisoners will start playing "human lacrosse?"
Yea, they were drinking and had a stripper and someone was a jerk by using the "N" word but none of that is illegal. The stripper that sais she was raped and apparently was not was a slimeball. But all of that pales in comparison to what Nifong did for votes. He abused his office. I'm wondering what they hell else the guy has done to other people?
Let us not forget that Nifong is a Democrat. And when those boys and girls play the race card, they will do anything to advance their own political interests. No matter if it is convicting three innocent white man of a crime that did not happen or trying to get a guilty black man a pardon from a crime that he did commit.
If this goes to trial in that jurisdiction, they probably will be convicted. The prosecution will play the race card and win.
Nothing negative is going to happen to Nifong. Same can be said for the liar/stripper.
That said, if this goes to trial, let's hope the kids' lawyers are sharp enough to get an honest jury.
Ever once in a while, 60 Minutes puts out a real gem of a segment, and this was one. Apparently even CBS sees the evil in wrongly convicting people on the basis of race alone.
Her boyfriend? How quaint. Is this a reference to her driver? The guy that took her to the other three appointments (to have sex) she had that weekend.
No wonder there was a little swelling. Don't ALL prostitutes have this condition?

Not exactly true. Nifong knew they were innocent, and did this anyway. After all, they were white.
My sentiments exactly. Here's "60 Minutes" playing Masters of the Obvious about a case that most right-thinking folks who followed events at all had already dismissed as bogus. I suppose they want a Pulitzer for this. They tried to turn this incident into a crusade against "prosecutorial abuse", when in fact it was just what you pointed out: a race-baiting Democrat being a race-baiting Democrat.
"60 Minutes" thought they'd draw a wider audience of moderates and conservatives (and they may have) by running this story. Personally I think they may have run this story to draw a wider audience for their "Bushies are dissing the Evangelicals" in-kind contribution to the DNC.
Weird. Me too, first time I had watched in years. It was a decent report, too, although I don't have high expectations of 60 Minutes.
She had sex with her boyfriend and the man who drove her to appointments, where she had sex with clients. I'm not clear on how many "clients" she had sex with, I have read a couple differing numbers. I live in the Triangle area and even with all this coming out I fear those young men won't get a fair trial.

There is something wrong with the criminal justice system in this country when a DA who has committed prosecutorial misconduct can not be sent to prison for obstruction of justice.
