How strange is fate. Had the Yanks beaten Detroit, he would have been with the team instead of flying his plane.

There are many stories, but I remember one in particular. Two guys didn't make it for their flight because a radiator hose broke on the way to the airport. Yes, everyone was lost on that flight.

God rest the souls of those departed today. May their families receive comfort.

Amen

Fighter jets went over North Texas around noon CST today and hit a "atmospheric disturbance" than on Fox NORAD said that fighter jets were "over a lot of different U.S. Cities"

>>How strange is fate

I forget the year, but the Indians were supposed to move their spring training base to Homestead, FL, but when Homestead was hit by a hurricane, they wound up in Winter Haven instead (former spring training home of Red Sox). Some of their players were out water-skiing at a nearby lake--Lake Mary or Little Lake Mary or something, and three of them died in a mishap...if they hadn't been a hurricane, they would have been
in the Homestead area instead of the Winter Haven area...
