Special Iraqi Army forces conducted an early-morning raid on October 9th in Sadr City, Baghdad, and captured a suspected bomb-maker responsible for improvised explosive device attacks against Iraqi civilians.
The bomb maker is allegedly the leader of a criminal cell constructing weapons for use by illegal armed groups, including IEDs used in sectarian attacks against Iraqi citizens as well as bombs that specifically target Iraqi Army and coalition forces.
Iraqi forces, with coalition advisers, quickly surrounded the objective area and found the suspected bomb-maker after a short search. During the operation, Iraqi forces killed one armed enemy fighter who posed an immediate threat. The Iraqi force then withdrew from the area with the targeted individual and five other detainees.
There were no Iraqi forces, or coalition forces casualties during the operation.

I wonder if the Iraqi's will deprive this "insurgent" of his civil rights? Will they practice "harsh" questioning techniques? Are they concerned about what the MSM might say if he turns up harshly terminated?

Are they concerned about what the MSM might say if he turns up harshly terminated? No. They're too new a democracy for liberalism.
Only older democracies can afford that kind of garbage.

Was this a total Iraqi operation?
If so doubly good!
Really, really good....

I met some of these Iraqi Special Forces, and was told by one of our SF guys that they shoot so well it's scary. That's pretty fine praise from an SF guy.
This is clearly good news. The change to IR IED's is bad news. They'd been using them for a while, but apparently have begun using more of them. This means Hezbollah and Iran are helping them.
