According to the Dems. This is all Bush's fault because he has such weak foreign policy.



He has a very strong Foreign Policy, but that speech sucked! Maybe they were referring to that. Also, this was a great opportunity to get some votes in our corner and I don't know if he did. A lost opportunity. I believe he must be tired after six years in office. His next two are going to be especially tough I believe.

I don't think so. Look at the Transcript. It was a necessarily muted response, but there's a lot of information in it.

Note, for example, that he has talked with the other (non-NK) leaders of the "six-party" group, and they're all on the same page. That's big.

Look at who else he calls out by name: Iran and Syria. That's big. Look also at his explicit mention of "non-state powers." That's huge.

Finally, in the context of all that, he separates the NK people from the leadership. That's the biggest thing -- it's a threat to Kim and his regime, and Kim will understand it that way.
