They don't really want to impeach him, just have lots of show trials until the election of 2008. Maybe the Repubs never wanted to impeach Clinton either....otherwise they would have voted to do so.
You are correct. Average citizen is starving. I just can't imagine us joining the nations who use starvation as a political tool.
Equipment has taken a beating. A serious refit will be in order, I agree.
Isn't that amazing! Bush is criticized because he is not a magician, or a fairy godmother, or a wizard. Bush's critics openly show how they BELIEVE in the power of words - oh, the great Clinton talking to the leaders of the PLO and Israel - That solved one world problem, didn't it. Clinton got them to shake hands! Wow!
Bush begrudgingly told O'Reilly that he would not let Iran have nukes. As for NK, it was someone else who made that promise:
Clinton warns North Korea // Says he'll not allow N-weapons

President Clinton - in some of his most strident language to date - warned Sunday he will not let North Korea develop a nuclear bomb.
Clinton , on NBC's Meet the Press, also declined to rule out a pre-emptive strike against North Korea 's nuclear facilities, from which international observers have been banned.
"We have got to stop the proliferation of nuclear weapons," Clinton said.
...
China is very concerned about other nations in the region acquiring nuclear capability. Especially Japan. China is nervous about the N Korean regime they view the leadership as mentally unstable, a regime that might easily turn their animus towards China, especially since they now have nuclear capability.
NK leaders starves their people, while the leaders gets fatter. The people who will suffer are probably the people are sitting fat and happy.
He didn't say it, but did you hear it that way, too?"
Yes. The single factor that sustains my support for W is my belief that preemption is always on the table for him. I have supported, and continue to support, the "Bush Doctrine."
I just got the feeling that he knew he had to address the world but he needed more information before he said anything more definitive.
No more hall passes to use the bathroom for the NKs
>>Will the SC meet behind closed doors?
Not exactly. The Security Council will meet behinds up.
OK Nuclear North Korea sells fissle material to terrorists (Hamas,AL-Qeada,Islamic Jihad,Hezzbollah,Taliban) You pick they are all allied. Then that organization carries out a suicide mission on say Tel Aviv, or wait, no, 911 taught us some lessons right, Oceans are not protective borders. So lets say with that Nuke in the trunk of a car in downtown Manhattan or Times Square at Midnight on New Years Eve, either way with a nuke you only have to be close for maximum impact. At that point will the Liberals believe its time for action, will they continue to blame Bush? Will they continue to politicize and undermine everything we are doing to fight this terror threat? or will they get onboard. How can the next (bi-partisan) commission conclude that we failed to connect the dots again. It appears that only ignorant Liberals are not seeing the dots start to align again.
Intepretation: "WE are the World" (Stevie Wonder voice)
" Same goes for whoever the DPRK sells weapons technology to. WMD proliferation will destabilize the entire world, so it's in our interest to combat it, whether or not the locals support us."
I think it is going to take offensive or terrorist use of a nuke against a major asian or western target for the political will to develop to begin absolutely brutal disarmament measures against any state attempting to develop nukes, by which time there may be several more nuclear powers of dubious integrity...
I quit watching Fox, or any TV news, because of their "mainstream" commentary.
Clinton WAS impeached.
This is a critical difference. In Democrat world you just have to feel good. You don't have to really do anything. They supported Iraqi regime change they just didn't expect anyone to do anything about it. They supported Kyoto they just didn't expect anyone to actually follow those limits. In Democrat world, if you really are going to do something you come down hard on people who abide laws becuase they are the only ones who will pay attention. You limit guns to the law abiding, you enact polution controls on the companies and countries who follow the laws and ignore those who don't. It feels so good to sign a treaty and have a photo op.
sorry, meant convict (as you know). common mistake.

I've got a question for you: How would you live... if I had a pistol pointed at your head 24/7? We have a choice to make... one has grave consequences... the other has unthinkable ones.
