Fordham Contradicts Himself on Notifying Hastert Office
Associated Press ^ | 10/4/06 | Associated Press

Posted on 10/04/2006 3:04:25 PM PDT by HastertFan

So, everyone knows that Kirk Fordham claims "he told House Speaker Dennis Hastert's office about worrisome conduct by his former boss, Rep. Mark Foley, toward teenage pages more than three years ago, long before officials have acknowledged becoming aware of the issue." AP Story posted at 4:00pm EDT

Strange because in an AP Story from 9:46am EDT this morning it quotes:

“I was still pretty shell shocked myself,” Fordham said of the day he learned about the messages. “This was someone I had worked for 10 years. I had no inkling that this kind of blatantly reckless - just obscene - behavior was going on behind our backs.”

Which is it, he knew three years ago or he had "no inkling?"

This is proof that Fordham has already changed his story on the record twice today. He was also working back channels with his old boss Foley. This guy's word is not worth the ink they use to print it!

NICE catch there!!!

It will be interesting to see how (or if) Fordham attempts to reconcile his seld-contradictions. ;)

"he told House Speaker Dennis Hastert's office about worrisome conduct by his former boss, Rep. Mark Foley, toward teenage pages more than three years ago

Is that also a new quote or an error? I thought the last story in the past hour was Fordham saying he told Hastert 2 years ago. Now it's 3?

I know that's not the big point of your post, but wanted to mention it.

It appears to me to be an e-mail/IM type issue. He knew of the inapropriate behavior, but was shocked at the IMs.

I'm sure AP will hasten to correct their story as soon as they read this.

Looks to me like he doesn't know whether he wants to be the whistle blower or if he is worried that he will go to jail for withholding this evidence.

That takes care of him. I wonder who else from the moonbat base wants to step up to the plate and bat.

Man, I love smacking down the moonbats.  They will surely need some meds after the election. They are going to get their butts kicked worse than I had thought.

It is starting to look like Fordham is part of the setup.

Did Fordham Out Foley To Aravosis?
Our reader Enlightened referred us to this July, 2004 story about the Gestapo like efforts of Mike Rogers and John Aravosis to threaten and blackmail gay staffers and elected officials to take sides they wanted on certain bills being debated - especially the Federal Marriage Act. One of the first staffers had this to say about the tactics

Tolman said he questioned the morality of the outing campaign.

“The agenda behind this outing seems to be kind of fascist. It says to me: Because you don’t subscribe to our personal idea, because you don’t choose to push sexual politics over environmental, we’re going to punish you.

Well, there are other things you can acquire through blackmail. But this article clearly states the person who ‘outted’ Rep Mark Foley was his Chief of Staff: Kirk Fordham:

Over in the House, Republican Mark Foley said in March that he would vote against the Federal Marriage Amendment — one week after his spokesperson said he would not take a position on the measure until it came up for a House vote.

Despite Foley’s FMA opposition, Aravosis purported to out Foley as well, taking him to task for supporting President Bush, who endorsed the measure late last winter. Labeling Foley as “our latest closeted gay hypocrite,” Aravosis said Foley made the list for putting politics ahead of his own community by “whoring for an anti-gay president.”

We used to say in the hay, when discussing boy girl play.
Now the donkeys look away, when the boys come down to play.
The sheep feel jilted and the horses neigh, but the Democrats say OK, if its their boys in the hay.

Fordham graduated from the high school two miles away from my home. This was on the local news this evening ...
Fordham's Parents Defend His Action
[snip]
The Fordham’s live in Greece and have been on the phone with their son nearly every day since his name started making headlines.

They made it clear to R News that their son, Kirk Fordham, did inform Tom Reynolds about the worst of the Foley scandal before it broke in the media.

They say their son, a 1985 Greece Olympia Grad, called them Saturday morning in shock and in tears.

I don't think we realize just how serious this is.....it appears to me the contradiction may not be a direct contradiction but be dealing with the different things...the emails that came out now and those that were known about.

His accusation today is big, and it is hitting the news like a firestorm (***AND THE FACT THAT OTHER REPUBLICAN SOURCES SAY HE ACTUALLY WAS TRYING TO STOP THIS FROM COMING OUT IS BEING COMPLETELY IGNORED***)

This could cost us the election. We have got to fight back.

If we don't, say hello to Pelosi.

Hastert must resign now.

A little research brought this site up. There is a letter
to Fordham there. The writer is upset that Fordham (gay) was going to work for Mel Martinez. It also mentions Fordham's past work on Foley's Florida campaign and his excitement over helping to put another gay in the House of Representatives.

From reading there it seems Kirk Fordham is gay. I wonder if
he had his own games with "Page" Boys?
