I wish they did shove him out the door. I live in Sherwood's district and will vote for him because there's not much choice. A vote for Carney is a vote for Pelosi as Speaker.
Sherwood's primary opponent wasn't much of an opponent but was actually a former dem who saw an opportunity. She really wasn't a viable alternative.
What they should have done was recruit someone good and talked Sherwood into retiring instead of running again.
