The issue isnt being gay. It is homosexuality today but it will be something else tomorrow. It is the violation of this social compact we have had that some things were off limits.
For instance what if a politician had a weakness and had a affair years ago. Should that be out. That is what we are coming too.
Unless the Virgin Mary and St Peter and like come back down from Heaven and run for Congress we are stuck with falliable and flawed individuals like ourselves as politicians.

We're now being given an object lesson in why unrepentant, active homosexuals have always been a liability, whether in politics, the military, religion, or the workplace....
