This guy is just one bad egg, it should affect the election in general, other than the possibility that a Dem will get his seat.
Good point.
I am relieved on a side note that the Republicans didnt pick Tampa. The only way I want us to pick a Gulf City of a convention during Hurricane Season is if Dems and Repubs do it the same week on the gulf together lol.
I just heard this on the radio.. To hold the position he did on that committee and then send suggestive messages to boys just infuriates me even more.
I wonder if he belongs to NAMBLA?
Something I was born with a plethora of!

Frist did something w/his hair. It's darker or maybe he has a toupee.
gay governor, coming up!!!
If this guy were a DEMOCRAT, they'd be telling us how unfair this all was, and going in front of every TV camera in the nation to support him.....
"Sucks to be him."
Yeah, that sounds like the source of the trouble...
The dems should have their convention in Havana.
This sucks, but the guy has got to go. He must be pretty fricking stupid. Odd, I always thought he was one of the more conservative members of Congress, but he only had a 78 rating from the ACU. Never heard about the rumors of him being gay, I guess I'm not close enough to his district. His ACU numbers have only been in the 60s the past couple years. Stupid, stupid, stupid.
FOLEY CHILD SAFETY LEGISLATION PASSES SENATE
July 21, 2006
WASHINGTON - Congressman Mark Foley (R-FL), Co-chairman of the Missing and Exploited Children Caucus, applauded Senate passage of legislation he authored and introduced overhauling our nations sex offender registration and notification laws.
For too long our nation has tracked library books better than it has sex offenders. That day is coming to an end, said Foley. Senator Hatch and Leader Frist have been resolute in keeping this legislation on track. We are closing loopholes that sex offenders and pedophiles have used to prey on children.
Included in the legislation are provisions Foley authored and introduced last year including:
Highlights of the Foley Provisions in H.R. 4472, the Adam Walsh Child Protection and Safety Act of 2006
A. Sex Offender Registration and Notification Act (Title I)

I like Limbaugh, but A. He wouldn't want the job, B. He's more valuable where he is, C. He'd get killed.
He might be able to win, maybe, in a very, very, very Republican district, but there is no way in hell he'd ever win in a swing district like Foley's.
But how will the voters know who is the GOP replacement candidate?
Actually Drudge has info that says Foley Sent Explicit sexual stuff to the kid . Gross
Not in a court of law, but they are equal in the court of public opinion.
Is there a residency requirement for this district?
Tommy Franks is in Tampa and had some interest in the Senate race.
I think he frosted the sides. He may have put on some weight too... who knows. We aren't going to be seeing much of him for a while.
I have no doubt you are right JV, s/he plays real loose with accusations. Seems to have clammed up now.
