That's not quite true when it comes to their eliminating firearms sales.

Here in Southern Oregon, most of the stores have stopped, or will stop, carrying guns. If this had happened because of market evaluations, that would be okay, but So. Oregon is a hotbed of gun ownership, we've got tons of gun stores and firing ranges, and folks are pretty upset about Wal-Mart getting rid of all their gun departments.

I believe that the reason they're doing so is to placate the liberals, both in the media and in government, NOT in response to changing markets.

They still sell guns here in VA.

I have no idea what the margin is on selling guns. I'm still assuming that if it were profitable for them to sell guns, they would.

I live at Wal-Mart ground zero, Rogers, AR. Company GO is right next door in Bentonville. Every year during shareholder meeting week, associates come from all over the world, and Store #1 is a MUST visit.

The first place these people go is to the gun section, and let me tell you, they are FLOORED that we sell them over the counter here in the good ol' USA!
