Is that not the most beautiful aircraft ever devised by man?

Obviously spoken by someone that's never pulled an engine. Or crawled under an overwing panel to pull a phase A inspection.

Truth be told, Tomcat's are heavily maintenance intensive. My squadron gave up 12 twenty year old Phantoms for 12 brand-new Tomcats. We racked up more hours keeping the Cats flying.

Like a girl in a darkend bar room, she looks better from a distance than she does up close.
