Police say they found chemicals, equipment, gas masks, air purification masks and unlabeled jars of chemicals and powders in Bagley's apartment. Police also saw soldering equipment in plain view, as well as batteries taped together, wires and putty material attached to a metal tube.... Would you prefer the bomb going off on a subway? If this guy was stupid enough to leave his bombmaking equipment out and to have a cleaning service, he deserves whatever he gets. I have no civil liberties problems with this at all.

Probably soldering a bomb into the CTRL-ALT-DEL configuration so that the first time the new owner tries to blow away the OS he gets a really big surprise.
I didn't realize soldering equipment had to be hidden. I have a very large Weller SMD soldering station and a stereo microscope in plain view. Am I about to have a SWAT team bust down the front door?

Of course I do. I just don't keep them next to my soldering iron. I keep that next to the plastic gas jug.
