She asked the cop if he was a cop. The officer said "no."

Any legal scholars here? Is it that she didn't ask "are you a law enforcement officer?" and that the word "cop" is an unofficial term?

Officers are not to deny their badge when asked.

Ok this is hilarious and they both got what they deserved. Much more serious crimes need to be solved instead of making sure someone doesn't get money for selling services.

What I can't figure out is what the ..... um ... lady intended to do after she yelled "move in" over the radio? So, then the other prostitute comes running in alone, no uniform, no backup, and this guy is supposed to think it's a legitimate "bust"??

Hmmm... maybe it was just going to be a 2 for 1 offer with kinky (handcuff) sex tossed in.

There I go again, letting the perverted side of me type on FR ...

SFS

Then Mr. Furley made up with his wife and Jack fell over the sofa.

Lisa Greene, 31, of 119 W. Ostrander Ave., was charged with first-degree criminal impersonation, a felony, prostitution and fifth-degree conspiracy.

Huh? I get the impersonation and the conspiracy, but how could they charge her with prostitution?

Pretty scary. I don't see them as being above the law and even that site is granting them a status that they know is suspicious:
Are Police Allowed to Lie?

The question of whether or not the police may lie during the course of their work goes hand in hand with the question of entrapment.

It is well accepted that deception is often "necessary" to catch those who break the law. There is no question that police officers are allowed to directly mislead and/or deceive others about their identity, their law enforcement status, their history, and just about anything else, without breaking the law or compromising their case.5 Conversely, it is illegal for an ordinary citizen to lie to the police in many jurisdictions.

Are Police Allowed to Break The Law?

Police officers working undercover have exceptions from certain criminal laws. For instance, law enforcement officers directly engaged in the enforcement of controlled substance laws are exempt from laws surrounding the purchase, possession, sales or use of illegal substances.7

This means that there's no way to identify an undercover officer based on their willingness or refusal to use an illegal drug. Reverse stings are common in the enforcement of controlled substance laws. In a reverse sting operation, a police officer sells drugs that have previously been confiscated and then arrest the buyer.

It wasn't me who put the quotes around "necessary".

They should've then just shouted "Surprise! Happy birthday! Uh... a friend of yours we cannot disclose hired us to do cheer you up."

I wonder when we are going to bust all of the unlicensed child care that comes close to violating child labor laws. Oh wait, that's baby sitting.

Well prostitution is legal then. The Supreme Court gods told us that it is okay for adults to engage in consensual sexual activities in private. Oh wait, they can't. I'm so confused.

I thought a cop couldn't lie to a direct question like that or is that an urban legend?

She asked the cop if he was a cop. The officer said "no."

Me too. AM I allowed to wash someone's car? What about those pesky day laborers trashing up the sidewalk?

I'm pretty sure the guy was the real cop. Sound's like an episode of "Reno 911".

The second time he got caught, she didn't believe him.

She learns real slow, but she learns.
