I've been getting the New York Times Sunday Edition dropped off on my driveway every weekend since July, even though I'm not paying for it. I'm too busy on a Sunday morning to wade through that twenty pounds of dead tree. I suspect I am being counted in their Sunday circulation figures, so they can charge more for advertising.

Yep, free NY Times appeared in all our driveways Wednesday morning.

The ironies abound.

They've been reduced to physically forcing their unwanted product onto people's properties, so they can unethically claim phony circulation numbers.

Propaganda printed on the product of the destruction of vast numbers of trees, wrapped in a landfill-choking white plastic bag, wastefully delivered via a fossil-fuel-guzzling SUV.

And the driver undoubtedly paid minimum wage.

A friend gave me a subscription to Readers Digest. IMO it should be free, It has more pages of ads and crap than actual reading. First thing I do is shake it and watch the fliers fall out and toss them. Some of them they glue in. One day just for fun I tore out every page of advertising and when I got done I didnt have over ten pages left.I thank the person who gave me this subscription, but I dont see why anyone would pay for it , Like I said it should be free.
