Allison Moorer is the singer, and she performed that song in the movie, The Horse Whisperer. It was the scene where Paul Newman, or was it another leading man, I can't recall, but the horse trainer had taken the owner of the horse out to a local saloon. There was a country band on stage and it was just background music. At any rate, I love the song. Allison has a webpage with other songs on it, but none really caught my fancy.
