Loved that comment by Rush.
....but the Persians did make some fine rugs.

Thailand is more than 90% Buddhist. That's what I thought. So this "coup" should be a non starter.
Thanks for the history lesson. BTW

I wish W had referred to "Iran" by it's historical name, Persia.Interesting idea--what would be the significance of that?

(You can't negotiate with people who are dedicated to your destruction.)
I love the manner in which the speech is written.........He's addressing the people of each country (
NOT their rulers that are sitting at the UN General Assembly) and giving them a challenge.
Very effective.

"But the President is on an entirely dufferent level than I am. He is playing an angle."
In addition to very carefully explaining to those bums at the UN just exactly where the bear went in the forest and what he done when he arrived.
Every time I hear him in a situation like this, I thank God I never got into a high stakes poker game with Bush.
That bunch of stiffs he's talking to right now are like a bunch of 10-year-old sandlot ballplayers who stumbled into the middle of a Yankees/Red Sox game.

I heard something too. Thought it was the ice cream truck making a round here, but it's not, so I'm thinking it's a cell phone.

KTTH (up here in the Northwest) cut the speech for a couple commercials.
