NAIROBI, Kenya An elderly nun shot four times at the Somali hospital where she worked forgave her killers as she lay dying, colleagues said Monday in the wake of a murder that has focused attention on Islamic radicalism in the Horn of Africa country.
Sister Leonella, 65, muttered the words 'I forgive, I forgive' in Italian after being shot three times in the back by gunmen in an apparent execution-style killing, father Maloba Wesonga told The Associated Press at the nun's memorial mass in the Kenyan capital, Nairobi, on Monday.
Her murder the latest slaying of a foreigner in Somalia was not a random attack and could have been sparked by remarks by Pope Benedict XVI about Muslims that have sparked angry reaction from Muslims around the world, added Willy Huber, regional head of the Austrian-funded hospital where Sister Leonella worked.
The killing has once again turned the spotlight on the lawless Horn of Africa nation where a powerful, radical Islamic group, accused of having ties to al-Qaida, have all but wrested control of the country from the weak and factional Somali government.
With it has come a hardline Taliban-style rule complete with public floggings and executions. Its leaders have pledged to wage holy war against an African peacekeeping force which is supposed to arrive early next month to help stabilize the country.

Her name will love forever, the Somali scum will die as nameless/faceless dogs.
Islam butchers coldly yet another who dedicated their life to helping others.
While you worship death, Christianity praises life.
You are Evil.
Those you follow are Evil.
ISLAM IS EVIL.
Allah is Satan!
Mohommed was a coward and a letch!
She just may have accomplished more in her death than all the good she did while alive. Her Christ like spirit of forgiveness with her dying breath sets an example to us all, hopefully one that will touch many hearts over there. There can't but be people who were undecided and now have made up their minds about islam and Christianity. It's almost like God is forcing the issue to make people confront and decide. People who don't reject islam, or say they're not sure, HAVE decided. We need to pray for the rest.

Nah. Do it during the Hajj. There will be millions of them.
God will surely bless this Christian womans soul.
And Jesus' words...
"But I say to you, love your enemies, and pray for those who persecute you"
-Matthew 5:44
"By this all men will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another."
-John 13:35
NO comparison, NONE!
I gotta get that book!
Thank you for sharing your brain fart.
a brain fart would be - as an example given - to compare every piece of cake crumble to the conduct and mind set of former dictator A.H.
And there's many clowns around doing just that.
You gotta love that peaceful religion of Islam. I wonder if there is a lot of converts from Satanism.
Amen! Thanks for the ping!
