New Poll: Katherine Harris is closing gap!!

I am surprised that nobody has noticed this poll taken by SurveyUSA on September 14th.

Nelson 53% : Harris 38%

Clearly, Harris is catching up fast. She used to be 30 points behind but in this post-primary poll, the gap has been narrowed to 15%.

Nelson is in his low 50s, he is clearly in danger. For all those Harris nonsayers, I say screw you!! If Harris keeps on campaigning, the victory is within reach!

When RINO Lincoln Chafee won his primary, all the GOP establishement signed a sigh of relief. However, a new poll to be released by Rasmussen shows the following astonishing results:

Whitehouse 51% : Chafee 43%.

Will GOP establishment pour in another $5MM to save this RHINO? Shall we say mission impossible after the conservative voters are pissed off by the blatant interference from Ms. Dole?

As a newbie you probably haven't seen the myriad of facts that have been printed here by me and others for months.

Regarding facts:

Look at Post 138

She has told three of four different stories about how she is financing her campaign, then changes them within a week.

She attacked all non-Christians in a newspaper interview.

Ed Rollins is one of the best R experts and nicest men in politics. He quit as Campaign Manager in disgust because he couldn't take the lying and abuse.

She has lost THREE sets of entire campaign staffs because she is so abrasive, abusive and flaky.

She consistently lies to supporters. Example: She told a campaign gathering of 40 supporters at Orlando Airport (about 20 were already established campaign volunteers) that the reason the turnout was so small they had to change the hanger location at the last minute because a tree fell on the hanger where the meeting was originally scheduled. It wa sa complete lie. No tree fell on any hanger. It was the hanger she had booked 4 months earlier.

How about another lie. She printer a flyer stating that eight popular Florida Republicans had endorsed her. Of the eight, seven has sent her letters months before stating that they were supporting other candidates, and had additionally told her that verbally. I was there for two of those meetings and heard it myself.

Those are facts. She is a flake.

For what it's worth, to all the nay-sayers... I agree that she's run an inept campaign so far, and was over-zeoulous in her pursuit of the Senate Seat (I wish she would have ran for re-election in her safe House seat)...

Having said that, can someone... ANYONE... tell me what's to be gained by constantly bashing her chances and anything that is KH??? Look, she's our nominee, for better or for worse... It DOESN'T help to say we could have done better, she blew her golden opportunity, etc...

I will max out my contributions to her, as I have done in every campaign she has run. If nothing else, that makes the Ds spend money here.

My personal energies however will be devoted to races where we have a chance. Ford must be defeated in TN. Santorum must win in PA. They are close enough together that I can fly my Lance between those races for important events, and that area is beautiful in the late fall.

We have a good chance in those races. We need to win those races.

Ford is Hillary 2.0 and must be stopped now. We need Santorum back in DC to move that state more R. With PA in the bag, we can work Delaware.


Katherine Harris has no chance, she is not an honest woman (she has lied to me too many times), is not especially Conservative compared to some leading Republicans nationally and after 2000, has done little to deserve our support. I support her as I support all Republicans, but my efforts go where we CAN win.

Pick battles we can win, not pipe dreams.

said she could not win, and counted her out.

We will bring it home based on the strength of the republican party in these districts, if we all get behind her and all the Republicans running for office.

Of all the Republicans in Florida, she had a voting record of being TWICE as liberal as seven members of the Republican Florida delegation, the same as five members. The ONLY Republican member more liberal than KW was Foley, who is all but openly gay and votes that agenda!

In other words, she was twice as liberal as the majority of the Florida Republican delegation!<<

Was this before or after November 2000 ?

To be sure, she billed herself as a Moderate Republcan back in the 1990's - - but since then it she'd have realized that her base is with Conservatives .

It would be neither practical nor desirable for her to vote Conservative on every single issue ~ she has to take a popularist stand on some items .

I have read before that there is no Law or Congressional Act that screams out 'Katherine Harris' ~ but she has sponsored or co-sponsored a lot of legislation .

When she was Florida State Senator, she passed over 100 bills !

Washington, Jul 28 - Representative Katherine Harris (R-FL) today voted for passage of the Pension Protection Act of 2006, legislation aimed at creating safeguards to strengthen and improve pension plans by using commonsense and fundamental reforms.

“Men and women who have worked hard their whole lives should not have to face the loss of their retirement security because of outdated laws and regulations,” said Harris. “This legislation will protect the retirement nest egg of these workers and retirees while preserving the competitiveness of U.S. companies.”


In addition, the Pension Protection Act of 2006 will:


Ø Ensure employers properly and adequately fund their worker pension plans;

Ø Protect taxpayers from costly bailouts of the Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation;

Ø Require companies to provide more information to workers about the status of their pension plans; and

Ø Make commonsense modifications to defined contribution laws to encourage greater personal savings for retirement and other needs.
